Hi Gary, I share your enthusiasm for this lens! I've had mine for a couple of months now and really like it. At first I was disappointed in that a lot of my shots were not well focussed, but after I did some test shots with the lens on a tripod I had to concede that the lens was very sharp, and that the problem was me - I just hadn't got used to the smaller DOF. Now I can't put it down, it has broadened my creative horizon greatly. A very solid, beautifully engineered and versatile lens.
Should I get this or the Sigma art 60mm for photos of animals at a wild life park, would i be able to get close enough with a 60mm lens or should a telephoto lens be used? I have a Lumix G7.
Is this suitable to filming high-speed action videos? I need to film my son's football games and I'm considering either buying a lens like this or just an ultra-zoom point-and-shoot camera. My main concern is that with this you can't zoom in and out quickly enough... please advise
Hi, I just started taking pictures using my GX85. Very new to all these but I want a good lens for my camera. Is this compatible to my Lumix GX85? Thank you so much!
Very informative. I've been weighing up this one and the 45-200mm.

I love your price-wise reasining!
Very good review...I have this and the 45-200mm and both good lenses for the prices. I find as you do the 45-150 good for most things
great review very helpful.
have a good trip !

there is a version of this lens without the red "HD" letter on it, what does that mean?
The latest iteration of this lens does not have the "HD" on it (H-FS45150AK). Same lens, just more recent manufactured date.
CAN THIS lense work with my omd em5 and have autofocus?
can the 4k be used with this lense? ... just confused as it says HD on the side!
yes the hd relates to the high quality optics and it works fine with 4k
Thank you! keep it up with the great videos!
howdy harry! is this good for video on a GH4?
I'd check out the 45-175 as it has the power zoom which is better for video. I have a video on it. H
no its not as its noisy and no one worth there salt would zoom mid video anyway.
do you know what the Power zoom do? Is it just a silent motor?
