I've seen $500+ boots with more factory "defects" than that. Its a $200 all-leather shoe... there are nikes that cost more than that. Inflation is a b****... it's actually crazy that Thursday is still selling these for $200 and haven't raised prices over the years...

Try the Thursday Vanguard boots Made in the USA very comfortable out of the box no break in period. Some models has Horween leather. I bought the Vanguard with Horween Indigo Chromexcel leather.

I like Thursday boots. Wife and I have a few pairs. You mention the boot is lined inside. That is true, without that liner, the boot leather is very thin. I actually prefer the thicker leather on the Redwing.

Eso del hilo parece ser una practica comun de las fabricas de Leon, tengo algunas botas hechas alla y todas vienen con ese hilo y parece que está sucio desde nuevo. Incluso en unas estaba tan sucio y deshilachado que las regrese.
Si la verdad que no se ve muy limpio el trabajo, está bien para las botas vaqueras pero no para estas botas, en fin no afecta nada la bota, pero si la estética, saludos
I would agree the Redwing laces are are thinner but you can walk in RedWing and they will give a free pair of replacement laces and oil the boots too but the big one for me is craftsmen ship of the Redwings is poor on welt and I have only 1 pair of Thursday Boots
Those look great! I don't know if it's the lighting in your shop, but the leather looks like RW copper. That painted thread is pretty cheesy though! Are they comfortable?
Love your passion at re-crafting boots. Your videos are awesome! Not a fan of Thursday boots. Ordered a pair of Captains. They had a large gouge in the heel block and a very sharp speed hook that was scraping one of the tongues. I exchanged them for a new pair. A tongue on the second pair was sewn in crooked and fell off of my instep. Thursday’s customer service told me to take the brand new boots to a cobbler. After sending photos of the boots and several emails, I was able to return the second pair and receive a refund. I sent emails to two Thursday executives and got zero response.
It's basically a marketing company that makes boots. I don't like knowing my money mostly goes to enriching a small handful of suits/ownership and white collar jobs. Plus the owner supports crazy anti-aboriton PACs.
I'd find a used set of redwings or something resolable that can be re done a couple of times Carhartt are not worth your money to many cut corners on their foot wear
