    Jeff, thanks for all your hard work over the years. Finally pulled the trigger on electric motor and your cutting board mount worked great on Commander 120!

    Just got the wife a new kayak... she's practicing her rolls (no need to bring up her success rate). I'm thinking that crew makes a nice, versatile kayak for me (and possibly the wife and child) but seeing that Torqueedo Ultralight on it... oh man. That'd be perfect for fishing a few nearby lakes. I like paddling out to my fishing spots but it would be WONDERFUL to motor back to the truck.

      It does make for a nice quick trip back. What’s better is reaching spots further out that you might not have seen otherwise.

      I like to give several options. Not everyone wants to DIY. Everyone wants a solution.

    *I bought this model for my 14 ft Jon boat. **enjoyable.fishing** recommend love it!!! It pushes my boat with ease ( 2 men 220 each). I would highly recommend this to anyone.*

      I would have thought that the Travel motor, not the Ultralight would have been the better option for a Jon boat. Check out my Jon Boats playlist for some interesting rigging options. What mounting did you use to get the Ultralight on a Jon?

    Here is a Fishing technique to get a wire or what ever in a hollow apace when do not have access to inside the space. In this instance you will need a beaded chain about 5 ft long. Drill the beginning hole and the exit hole. Put Kayak on end. Drop the Beaded chain in top hole. You will need a small magnet on a wire to attract the beaded chain pull the chain out. you now have pull string to pull in what ever you need from hole to hole. It is advisable to pull in a pull string to replace the chain. The chains are not very strong and can break easy.

      Darn, Cosmic!!!!! What SUPERB idea!! I will file your idea away for future needs! Only one problem that I see is...If the hole is so darn tiny, I haven't seen a magnet that small to fit inside such a small hole. Other than that, this is the most BRILLIANT idea that I have ever run across!!

      @@ronaldkondler5792 I think we’re going to need to drill a bigger hole.😉

    I got the UL last year and just picked up a LT 2 weeks ago from their new office. Just put a Minn Kota on the LT to have some fun in. May have to upgrade to this if I like it.

      It’s got some really fun thrust. It’s also nice to know how much range you have left in the battery.

    Dental floss, small finish nail, and a neodymium magnet.

    Those cutting boards break easily in my experience. They snap if they’re dropped. I’d suggest adding something to create a redundant safety net like a strip of aluminum so it doesn’t fall apart if that happens.

    Great video! ... I'll stick with my much cheaper 30lb MK .... 5mph for 18 miles ..... fishon!

    Maybe if you had tuned the kayak upside down, you could have been able to feed cable through hole to hole

    How does the Crescent crew perform on rivers? Not white water rivers but rivers. Shallow rivers & moderate rapids.

    • @TheLittleStuff
      @TheLittleStuff  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s a good platform because it’s fairly lightweight and has a large footprint. That means you draft shallow.

    Hello, I was wondering if you ever had any issues with the thickness of the starboard only being .5"? I am about to create my own mount but want to make sure that the .5" thickness will be sufficient for a 30lbs thrust Motor.

    • @TheLittleStuff
      @TheLittleStuff  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No issues, even with a 105 lb thrust motor.

    Are there any videos on a torqeedo install for a crescent lite tackle?

    • @TheLittleStuff
      @TheLittleStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      Nope. I have 59 videos in the Torqeedo Ultralight Installation playlist. One of those is close enough to teach you how. Watch one of the Crescent Crew installation videos.

    Might be a dumb question but are there nuts molded into the kayak that your threading into or are you threading into plastic? Thanks

    • @TheLittleStuff
      @TheLittleStuff  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don, Yes, that is pretty much what a threaded insert is - a nut that is molded into the hull of the kayak.

    Has the trolling motor mount for the crescent crew been made by Tray and where can a person buy this ready made plate at, also what is the cost

    • @TheLittleStuff
      @TheLittleStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tray made it. Check InnovativeSportsman.com

    Can he make a 2019 hobie compass mount for a trolling motor? Hobie hasn't been making the power pole mounting plate.

    • @TheLittleStuff
      @TheLittleStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you bring a Compass to Tray, I am sure he could fit it out.

    How do you remove weeds and lily pads if it gets hung up?

    • @TheLittleStuff
      @TheLittleStuff  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Ultralight 1103 chews through them. It’s a 3 HP motor. They don’t stand a chance.

    grinding plastic with a grinding stone is never a good idea you can load the wheel with plastic and cause the wheel to shatter

    • @TheLittleStuff
      @TheLittleStuff  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for that tip. I was unaware. I need to purchase a belt sander.

    • @cammacgregor9354

      Dressing the grinding stone once in a while eliminates potential issues while grinding plastic
