2006-the last year of 100T- the same year I pushed all the Canon - F1n, Ftb, 24, 35, 50, 85, 70-210 across the table at Adorama and got a 6mp Canon 10d and 17-40L back (I probably had to pay also). But then I went out and photographed at night, similarly, and loved the freedom of being able to change ISO whenever I wanted and not always having the wrong film in the camera. And not having to fight cheap-ass scanners. 10 years after that I got a Flextight X1, and for brief moment nirvana- but then the workload of shooting film, scanning and the fact that no jobs would wait that long meant that it became a 7k desk sculpture. So now that is gone too, but damn if I didn't just buy a few rolls of 400portra for an old minolta X700 and Canon EOS 1n. Appreciate the channel.

Great video! Glad to see some great examples of Portra 100T. One thing to note about exposure times, if you look at the data sheet for this film + other low ISO tungsten films (Kodak Portra 100T, Fuji 64T, Kodak Ektachrome 64T etc) they are designed to be shot at slower shutter speeds. This film in particular says it was designed for exposures between 1/1000 and 120 seconds in tungsten light, thus you didn't really need to account for reciprocity. That's what I love about these films, great for long exposure night shots. Obviously since it's expired though there's still some roll of the dice to get a proper exposure.

But Portra 800’s colors are really nice and the film actually meats 800 ASA. While 800T sits still squarely 500 ASA. Portra 800 has actually enough latitude that you can shoot it at 1600 without pushing it and still get nice results.
