I visited bishkek 3 times and the people there are very friendly. I made many friends there and they have problems that we wouldn't understand in north america but they are very optimistic about life. The food there is amazing and natural. The drink you bought on the corner is very helpful for hangovers :). Tahn is my go to drink when having a heavy party night.

I loved seeing the WW2 memorial and looked up the history of Kyrgyzstan area during the war, and the whole history. There is a blend of many cultures from various invader over the last 2000 plus years. I enjoy the study of the Mongol Empire and all the spread of their culture far into western and central Asia.
