Hello can you please tell whether exchange programs are still eligible in Russia, like can we go to other countries on exchange program after studying a year in russia as international student?
Or not possible due to sanctions?

@@farmanjatoi01 Score higher in exams and assignments, remain among the top in the class, and maintain a high overall GPA. The study office filters the students, and only a few applicants get the chance to go to the partner university. The study office shortlists only a few candidates for this opportunity, as the exchange seats at the partner university are very limited due to sanctions and other factors.
If you are shortlisted, your up-to-date transcript will have to be sent to the partner university. You will also need to visit the embassy of that country for a study visa. Depending on your citizenship, you may need to show proof of funds for survival in the target country. The study office assists with formalities related to your educational documents, performance, and attendance at HSE, but proof of funds and other necessary documents may be required on your end.
If there are many applicants, the university may not send the entire class on the exchange program. Therefore, the obvious filter is the up-to-date GPA for that particular semester. The students are usually notified by the university through email from time to time, but it would be better to stay in touch with your program office as they are closer to you. Know their visiting hours, inquire about your questions, and understand the procedure beforehand to avoid future complications.
Regarding your question about IELTS, not all universities require it if your current program is in English. They assume you took some English test or passed an interview in English to enroll in the English program at HSE. In case IELTS is required, you can visit a nearby country like Georgia, Uzbekistan, or Kazakhstan to take the test, but you will need to plan wisely and choose an appropriate slot for the test.
A visa might be required for these countries for you to appear for IELTS in their territory, but it shouldn't be much of a problem as most neighboring countries of Russia have embassies in Moscow and consulates in Saint Petersburg. If you live in other cities, light travel by train or flight is not expensive and is quick. Most people here do not need visa to those countries, so there is almost no crowd usually.
