Hi Wyatt, I very much enjoyed watching your vids, great job! I specialy like the black wood (ebony?) in the laminated neck and the headstock and how they flow together. I would like to know which plans you used (if any) and if the french polishing is your only finishing methode.
Wow, goes to show how much I pay attention to my TH-cam channel. 7 years late. Sorry for not replying earlier Bert. I learned a method from Bob Benedetto and have refined it somewhat over the years. A pretty traditional method. I hope you are still building?
Thanks Bert. Yes that is ebony in the neck and headstock. The design is my own and is my 16" Northern Flyer guitar. I have been french polishing almost entirely for the last several years but will also use lacquer. I really appreciate your comments!
Five years late but THAT IS BEAUTIFUL. I'm gearing up to attempt to build me an archtop. This is very inspiring.
Beautiful guitar! You are quite a craftsman Wyatt. Thanks for posting this.
Thank you!
Very nice guitar Wyatt....!
Thanks, Don!

Wonderful, filigran work!!
Sweet Wyatt! You are the miter-master for sure.
Wilborn Guitars thanks Ben. I just came across this. I need to start paying attention.
Beautiful guitar, can you explain how to do the veneer on the back of the head like that? I tried on a previous build but couldn't get it right.
Hard to explain in a few sentences but if you send me a message I can go into it a bit.
Bravo..nice!!!
Thank you Michel.
