I honestly haven't been completely up to date with this song but it sounds so cute I might learn it. It really confused me when it became popular because years ago when I was still a kid pretty much the same song but in German became basically like a proto meme and everyone sang it and made the exact same hand gestures. Except of course we are German, so the text was more on the gruesome side 😅 I'm sure this is gonna make so many kids happy and yay for transposing! 🙌🏼
Yeah... this song came out of nowhere again. It's like the poop that just won't flush. We sang it in college at conferences (13 years ago!) and now, all of a sudden, kids are all about it. I think one of the popular kids' TH-cam channels released a video of it and maybe that's what brought it back.

I'm learning on his pumpkin uke cause I still dont have my own since 7yo spent my uke stash accidentally buying ridiculous amount of candy crush cash on my mother's tablet, so I had to cover that (and teach her how to lock down purchase ability!) 8-( Now back to saving up for a beautiful cocobolo concert uke from Nicaragua - when they're shipping again... and learning with the pumpkin Mahalo soprano in meantime (thinking of practising scales on my dusty old bass guitar to build my calluses back up cause this surely has to be easier with callused fingertips even though its nylon!)

ME Wong hi!!! 👋🏼 G is definitely a hurdle in the beginning. Can you tell me more about the problem? How does it sound when you try to play it? Which finger or fingers are not cooperating? There could be several reasons why it’s not working and we are not in person, so it’s hard for me to know
Hi Ms. B 👋. Thank you for your reply. I have been thinking how best to describe my problem. Here goes. When I first started, my teacher just told me to keep practising G until my fingers get used to it. I struggled for 2 weeks coz I just couldn't get it and i didn't have enough space to align both fingers. I watched one of your earlier videos (should have done it sooner) about pretending my hand is a door hinge and pivot to create the space needed to get into G 👍. That certainly did the trick to create the extra space. After that, I had a hard time to get F2 to curl back and extend F3 forward simultaneously. F3 always curl together with F2 🤦♀️. However, it has improve a little now compared to 2/3 weeks ago. Whenever I want to play G, I have to consciously tell F2 to curl back and F3 to extend, which slows down the movement. when I curl F2 into position, then I can consciously move F3 into position. My teacher pointed out that I can't move finger by finger. I have to move all 3 fingers into position at the same time. I get what he was saying but it is really tough for me to do that. When I force it, my fingers are flat on the strings (touching other strings too; muted sound) instead of on the tip of the fingers. F2 also has a tendency to be upright rather than in a U shape 🙁. Phew! I didn't think I could explain it in words 😅. Hope you are able to get the picture 😁
I do have this song in my book. Children just go crazy when I sing it! I am so glad you made a tutorial for that! I love the other strumming option you gave, I will definitely use it! I am working in a project based on nursery rhymes for children on the ukulele and I was also trying to make a Spanish and Portuguese version of it, but they didn't sound good, too hard to fit the words there... jajaja

It is true, I disappeared for a while, too much going on! But always when I have times I check all the new tutorials you have released! My project is showing to be quite laborious as is a bit hard to find chords for nursery rhymes in Spanish or Portuguese, specially old ones, but I am working on it, hopefully, soon I will be able to release material... :)
