Hey Valeria, the « Skin Food » from WELEDA ist really Great!!
I also like to use the Dr. Hauschka products and the special techniques they recomment. I think you will like that 😘
I also wanted to ask if you know the german brand « Primavera » which also works with all natural ingredients for their skin care products.
      Much Love 😊❤️

I love Weleda's Skin Food, only thing is that it's very thick so I like to add a few drops of rosehip oil before I use it on my face - that way it's much easier to spread! Just wanted to share this tip with you as I know that some people complain about how thick it is.

I love how you have been doing actual research on skincare! There is a lot of misinformation out there, not only regarding skincare and cosmetics but nutrition and hair care as well, and I appreciate someone with a genuine interest to learn what's up. Also if you have not heard of Paula's Choice it is an amazing skin care brand that was based on the principle to dispell typical lies of the cosmetics industry and develop different lines of skin care for different skin types and concerns. I would love you to do a brand review of it! :)

I love oils too. I have extremely dry sensitive, eczema prone skin which is a pain in the behind. But it now behaves like a dream since I have swopped to all natural products; I cleanse with coconut oil and moisturize with almond oil, even vaseline at night if my skin is extra dry. I also use The Ordinary Retinol 1% every night and Factor 50 Suncream. My skin has never been better but I know I have a very specific skin needs. Great to hear about other women's skin care routines.

I have been dealing with eczema, sensitive skin and follicolosis on my legs for FOREVER 🙋🏼‍♀️I use the Aveno skin relief body wash in the shower, and once getting out of the shower immediately moisturize with cerave body moisturizer (I think). Using products with simple ingredients and without alcohol has been a game changer. Also I have this whipped Shea butter from a local skin care company and I use it on eczema patches and my skin extremely dry lips.

I dont see any dark circle around your eyes. I had panda eyes. And i used licorice extract (got to know about it from a video of michelle phan). I used to put it around my eyes before sleeping. In a very small amount so that it doesnt get into my eyes. Now my dark circles are completely gone. I use licorice now only when i am not having a good sleep. Very rarely. Plz do mention in your insta story or in any of ur video if licorice is harmful for skin.

Valeria, I'm a bit confused. I dont think the weleda is a dupe for the la mer? the weleda is extremely thick and i wouldnt use it as a daytime moisturizer. yet, i have it and its amazing for putting on dry patches before you go to bet (nose, chin, lips, etc) and just let it sink overnight. sometimes, i put it all over my face as a mask

    • @magdalena3149
      @magdalena3149 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I like to add a few drops of rosehip oil to Skin Food, it makes the consistency less thick and easier to spread on my face. But otherwise I agree with you, it's very hard to use it as a moisturiser just as it is!

Hi Valeria! I loved your video, would just like to add a small remark. As someone who has been deficient in Vitamin D for years, I would like to add some small bits. I tried supplements for years and it turns out I don't absorb them at all. I would be taking it the whole winter with no result in the tests at all. Then I would go to the seaside for 2 weeks and it would be back to normal. The point I am trying to make is that depending solely on supplemenation is not the way to go unless you've testes and you know it works for you. Personally now, I protect my face, neck and hands, but all else is left as a Vit. D factory. Loads of love

It was you who made me fell in love with rose water 😘...about the sunscreens - I have read some interesting articles that overusing sunscreens is responsible for huge lack of vitamin D, which is very common nowadays even in country like here where I'm living (Greece). Second thing - each year human population use more sunscreens but at the same time the number of skin cancer is rising too. I'm definitely using sunscreen but there is some food for the mind.

Idk if my input means anything, but it has helped my skin so much to get regular facials. I feel like cleaning out the pores prevents new flare ups. I work at a medical spa and it's recommended to come every 4-6 (or even 8) weeks for your facials. Of course investing in the right products and finding the right routine is the most important because that's what we apply every day, but a good esthetician will help you find those products. If you have a certain brand that you like, try to find a spa that uses them!

I got it weekly ( extraction+ peeling+ mositure). Doing this prevented future acne because my aesthetician takes care of my sebum that might become a breakout. However, going there weekly was not only costly but time consuming. I started melting my sebum with oils and do clay mask daily and sheet masks too. So instead of 1 hour a week, i kind of do bits of it through out the week. I have to be consistent though. Otherwise, i get breakout again😢

You're the reason why I have a rose water stash in my fridge. 😂😂
I have *dry* skin with scars from my cystic pimples days. What also helps my skin with rashes, pimple scars and even pimples is *honey* . I just smudge it on my face at night after cleaning my face (I use a 100% natural carbon face soap that works for combo skin and doesn't turn my face into a sandbox) and let it sit for 30 min and then rinse it off: my skin is smooth and the pimples are reduced. I also noticed it slightly improves my dark circles. 🍯 If I feel like a need extra moisture I usually apply an argan & aloe face cream.

"I wish was a rich girl...." it very sad that you have to spend so much mony on good products
I would like to hear from you about more affordablei products in the future, like you do "chic on budget" with closes. you are the most real vloger in youtube and I trust your opinion.

The Ordinary has a much cheaper ferulic acid serum. You're welcome.

Try the ordinary. Most of their products are $12.00 or less. I’ve purchased products from them that were under $7.00. Sephora sells them.

    Hello Valeria,
I would like to ask if you think that natural remedies like coconut oil or other oils can help with a good hydration .

Hey! I was watching your video and remembered about Rose Marie Swift’s skincare routine (the founder of RMS beauty) which consists of water and her oil, only! After reading about it I couldn’t believe it (she has good skin) and now I don’t know what to believe! Haha What do you think about it?
Also you could maybe try some Youth to the People profucts (the antioxidant serum) and some Ere Perez products as well... :)

Sunscreen does have quite a few chemicals in it which could be toxic and could potentially build up in the body. It's important but it is a double edged sword. Maybe choosing a 'clean' sunscreen is the best option. Love your skin ❤

Try an elimination diet :) good be a reaction to food. I always found best was to keep it simple for my skin. Oil cleanse with almond oil every day and clay mask once a week. Morning just use a zinc moisturizer- zinc will sooth any acne (best is badger brand one for face because it’s light)

About the sunscreen part, actually because of the inclination of the earth, during winter, there are much less UVB reaching your skin and if you put sunscreen almost none will reach your face, and UVB is necessary to produce vitamin D, so technically during winter in countries such as Canada where sun exposure is limited, people shouldn't use sunscreen on a daily basis (just for a very long time of exposure)
