Good to see this piece of art getting the recognition it deserves! 67k views, we all have come far. Not a day has gone by without this album since it came out, neither have I gotten tired of it, notnonly that but I appreciatr it more and more with every listen.
Absolutely. Stuff like this is the reason why I love metal, and, altough I listen to many genres, none other is able to deliver such raw, honest emotions and expression. It's one of those album that pulls you deeper and deeper everytime you come back to it. A masterpiece for me.
Such a unique blend of twisted madness and divine depression.... one of the best albums Ive heard in a long time....
Coming back to this again to say this album still shows no sign of mundaneness. It is still its own special sound & I hope more material would ever come out soon. Still quite the gem.
I love the vocals on here. Absolutely vicious while ramaining passionate and raw as fuck
Thank you Michael for this healing
Another gem found on your channel. Thank you.
Very well done. Love the passion and the growls are awesome.
This is some of the best music i've found in a long time. Brilliant for start to finish
Haunting. Vocals are absolutely amazing.
looking at the artwork while listening to this is hypnotizing , and damn good
This album is pure agony. So raw it pulls you down to the icy depths. Black metal art.
Hell yeah awesome album. It's a pleasure listening this .Thanks for sharing Odium Nostrum .💗
One of the best black metal albums I've heard since I found Nightbringer.
Um dos melhores álbuns que eu já ouvi... Masterpiece
Now that's a chronic constipation.
This is one of the most memorable and addictive albums I ever heard. Damn.
Grčim se koliko si u pravu. Ok stat cu, al slazem se, Island ima najjacu BM scenu imo!
@@franlovelsimic8421 ma mogu se islanđani nabijat na kurce i palce do mile volje al' nikad neće nadjebat švedski i finski old school death metal. Rokaj. 🤘
One of the best albums of all time
I'm so glad I had this saved in a playlist. Woke up with the first song stuck in my head and couldn't for the life of me remember which band...and I can't sing it for any song-recognizing programs either XD
album of the year contender!
9:17 such raw emotion
This album is awesome.
Magnific!
I love how icelandic black metal has such a strong signature sound that you can immediately recognize it.
XsniperSK whats even greater is how they manage to keep that signature style while also making something extremely fresh and different from svartidaudli, mispyrming, sinmara etc..
They are an island in the middle of the ocean, no wonder they make very idiosyncratic black metal, you are absolutely right
Love it!
Excellent.
awesome
Dark,Frosty, Freezing i love it!
just what i needed..
Really want this on tape.
Amazing.
Great album , great band
this vibe is addicting
This is so good! It gives me a very Lurker of Chalice vibe, which can only be a good thing.
I also see this is another excellent offering by Mystiskaos. Man, these guys really seem to be picking up where Fallen Empire left after their goodbye. I was very sad when I learned FE was closing, but it's good to know that the void they left in the extreme music world has been so quickly and seamlessly filled by MK.
I think they are the same guys. Do not take it for granted but looks liek there is some sort of collaboration
@@TheCanelaFina Where did you hear that if I may ask? That'd be neat if true! Looking through their instagram I didn't recognize Wrest in any picture and Metal Archives doesn't list him as a member, so if that's the case it is not a very public collab.
@@welwitschia He was talking about fallen empire and mystiskaos being collaborated, not Wrest and Andavald lol
Humbly honored to happen upon you r compliment 🙏🏻
This is extraordinary and well made.
Drowning to death but hope to stay conscious for long enough to revel.
Elite,indeed
Very nice
Ok, we're at the end of 2019 so now I can say for certain that this is my AOTY. Andavald has made something truly special here, and I'll be certainly paying attention to what else they release in the future.
Fuck, this is surely something special. Intense from beginning to end. Absolutely inhuman, somehow still beautiful.
Impressive stuff
this album is god tier album
Matches my torment perfectly
Depressive and dissonant with a potent sense of hopelessness, at times almost an ABM version of Godspeed You Black Emperor. Approved.
Holy s*** what I've just listened to! Simply mind blowing!

Saw this band in London recently. Was blown away by how great they were. Just sucks I can't find this album on CD. They only had cassette & vinyl for sale :-(
musick is magick
Dark as hell.. Loving it
tremendo disco
Cold....🤘🤘
finally a release by this promising band. excellent, sometimes these black doom atmospheres reminds me of some old stuff like for exhample early Thorns
E sad, koji od ovih?
www.metal-archives.com/search?searchString=Thorns&type=band_name
@@Jurica-mtb you are new? :D There is only one Thorns (first one from the list) when we deal with BM. Norwegian scene sound was builded on "Grymyrk" demo. Read Dayal Pattersons "Evolution Of The Cult" about this genre.
Wow...brutallll
this is metal
Those vocals, holy fucking shit.
great record. why is it that extreme metal fans can only describe new metal in terms of existing bands?
Bala Codax they are no different than anyone else, we have to use what we know. It’s hard to describe the vibe of certain artist adequately, so one is almost forced to use a certain band as an example.
🖤
Lovecraft approves
I'm pretty sure HP would have found it degenerate art, or not even music.
almost a black metal shuffle?! that's an impressive feat:
Hugklofnun 11:50
Increíble 😈😈😈😈
This is great, very pleasant on the ears. I hope they'll next release a bigger album, it's 3 years later
Icelandic Exellency 👌👌
Trivial yet not boring at all!
Leviathan-esque. pretty fucking rad.
1 of best I heard in my life!! If any 1 can suggest me similar type I'll appreciate it thanks
Depends on what part you like the most. Check out In the woods(hota), Elend(the umbersun), Leviathan maybe not but if you like it go for Antediluvian (logos) if you're after sick shit. Leave a note if you liked or found someting worth checking out. Cheers
wtf this is amazing
Takk fyrir þetta, OdiumNostrum.
Odd to see local bands on your channel. ;)
Almyrkvi, örmagna, guðveiki, nexion, martröð, abominor, misþyrming, mannveira, wormlust, carpe, azoic og gone postal allavega
4th track goes so fucking hard i love this so much
This is fucking amazing

The first track sounds like Aquilus
Your right. Late Aquilus, not early Aquilus which was classical.
It's like if Electric Wizard made DSBM. Afvegaleiðsla is the best track.
@z k I'd classify this as equal parts french chaos (deathspell vibe) along with depressive. Its somewhere in between making it more unique than most.
Very unique and beautiful music. In some parts it's heavily influenced from Deathspell Omega
Why the fuck does everyone wanna talk about DsO so much these days.. Seemed like no one gave a shit about them even 6 years ago.... now it's all people ever want to use as a basis of comparison...
@@kleem-lordhooterz-girl7709 I do not know about them. I am listening D.O from 2000 and black metal in general from 98 :) As for your last comment I will agree, I think thats how human brain works, with concepts and patterns.
@@theodorep.5501 -- I guess dude, I'm just saying it's weird. I've been listening to DsO since like 2002 and nobody ever gave a shit about them until recently it seems. And now people are constantly comparing them to other bands that do not even sound like them at all really. That's the thing about it... that's all i'm saying.
@@kleem-lordhooterz-girl7709 Ok maybe you are right. To be honest I didnt notice that. Maybe because I do not care what people say about music. Anyway cheers
HUNK
AOTY for me, hands down. Nothing matches THIS this year.

DSBM at its finest
Hmm where are the "dso clone" comments? Jokes aside, this is a nice album.
This is one of the few Icelandic BM bands that doesn’t seem to be particularly influenced by DsO though I don’t think any of them are clones per se
Now you see why more bands should fck off with the constant blast beats like their life depended on it
Does anyone know some black metal with more shouting/ singing, including screaming?
@@ramonoriol5332 It starts promissing but then it just gets too abstract and meaningless.
Not your day-to-day black metal... Awesome melancholic atmosphere loaded with longing and harsh vocals. Need moar.
Tedious
Non technical ulcerate
Genres and sh*t can be fun, I'm as nerdy and anal about it as all of you. Dont say you aren't, unless you truly aren't. But, the genre debates and clAssification of bands is getting tired. #depressiveblackatmosphericdeathchaotic....black metal
Very nice band here!
What. The. Fuck. It's like this band read my mind for what I still respect in metal music. Those bog swamp vocals, thick wet atmosphere, and swarm of bees guitars... fantastic!
