LYRICS
I keep waking, see faces complacent
Basis entangled with all the places, spaces between us
Yeah we don’t make amends
Undertaking antithesis
And the systems solar showed up
Now we don’t think about it
No we don’t think about you anymore
You are a distant memory
Can you just tell me what to do
Before I make up my mind?
And I’ll just leave it up to you
Before I make up my mind
And you stand adjacent
To all the bullshit complaining
We facing frustration
It’s just a little to much
I'mma take this time to explain it
But you need to retain it
Cause there ain’t no repeating
I’m just saying it once
Out tonight, oh yeah baby
I know it’s alright
Won’t you stay on this with me?
I know it’s alright
I know it’s alright
I won’t try this
I won’t fight with you
I know it’s alright
Are you sticking with me or ya stuck in a rut?
I know it’s alright
They divided us now our time is up
I know it’s alright
They doused you in the blood as you paused
You were told all was forgiven
Can you tell me what do
Before I lose my mind?
What will they take away from you
Before I lose my mind?
Out tonight, oh yeah baby
I know it’s alright.
Won’t you stay on this with me?
I know it’s alright
I know it’s alright
I won’t try this
I won’t fight with you
I know it’s alright
Are you sticking with me or ya stuck in a rut?
I know it’s alright
They divided us now our time is up.
I know it’s alright
Can you tell me what do
Before I lose my mind?
What will they take away from you
Before I lose my mind?
Go on and tell me
Am I losing it?
I won’t accept it
And think the opposite

Does he sound extra good on this album or what??
Quite noticeably.
Kurt ascended when he joined A Lot Like Birds and worked with Cory Lockwood, for sure.
*"Undertaking antithesis and the systems solar showed up."* 😤👌
He may have chilled out on smoking cigarettes?
God damn, Kurt killing it!
Everyone sounds so good on the album but this might be the best I've heard Kurt imo.
he cant make bad music this man is underrated genuis.damn amazing..
Probably my favorite song off the album
mine too
Kurt can do no wrong,
this man deserves it all!
More of Kurt's natural progression into a rapper
2:14 to 2:29 This is a DAMN strong vibe/motif that I would be happy hearing more of throughout an album. Kind of gave me chills the first time I heard it. Something about hearing it with the visuals sucks you in. I'm having difficulty with fleshing out why it stands out to me so strongly, but it's a hell of a reprieve.
This song becomes perfect at the “I know it’s alright” part.
I love this song so fucking much 🔥😭
Let this man back into DGD best albums from them by far are with Kurt singing
Hahahaha keep calm and listen the new album, relax!
Agreed. this man got totally boned by them, in favor of bringing back Dopey Craig, but yet has dedicated his whole music career to sticking in the swancore genre. He deserves to come back, even if the til thing never happened.
100%
@@TheBrandonn I feel bad for Johnny. I know he's tripped along the way a lot, but I would still positively support him. He had a really hard childhood and arguably is the most talented singer they had. The man's got a great voice. He's doing a lot better these days. I hope he stays on it. Nothing will excuse his s***** actions, but I totally agree. I felt like Kurt got kicked out so they could bring Johnny back, but I don't know any of the behind the scenes stuff at all and that's probably not the case
@@thugnarsty he's an alright vocalist but the things you're saying is his main problem. He's incredibly overrated and treated like this god of a vocalist that he isn't. I personally would argue that Kurt and even Tilian are way better vocalists. That said, I don't judge the man for his life. He's done some awful things so I don't exactly feel bad for the backlash he receives, but I personally don't care to have any sort of opinion on him. He made some good music a decade ago, some still good (dgd), the others, haven't aged as well. That's all he is to me. I do think the whole situation of bringing him back was pretty goofy, they had to know what they were doing, but w.e. At the time, they claimed that if they couldn't bring Craig back, they would quit. They were also planning to only release dbm2 and go out on that. Not sure what bringing in Tilian and kicking Jonny out a 2nd time did to change all their minds but here we are
With the instrumental groove that’s too good not to move to and Kurt’s vocal pattern way too on point, Royal Coda may have created the sexiest damn song of all 2022. This band is pure ecstasy. 💜 🦢
The Dance Gavin Dance love baby. Will swan and Travis Kurt has evolved to a more beautiful melody. I’m addict to this new style.
You say that, but this is really Sergio + Kurt than Will + Kurt. I'm sure it's become more of a collaborative between Sergio and Will, but this is Sergio's baby.
Eargasm! 🤘
it's DGD if they matured and didnt become formulaic. i love it.
Listened to this about 80 times today
this album is fire! really happy it was a surprise release.
Kurt gets better with every album. Not many people out here are trying to improve like this man. ♥️
Yo this is funkyy 🔥🔥🥵🥵
Royal Coda is the new old DGD (or better)
CHANGE MY MIND
Sorry, but no. I LOVE Joe, but his synergy with Will does not match Mingus' even by a fraction. This is good but it's not old dgd by a long shot. It's also missing zachy g for that to be the case.
If Jon Mess was in this, then you're not totally wrong
1:00 part is so good
Kurt travis never fail it comes to create music hands down to you sir..two thumps up
Kurt solo and in Royal coda, both amazing.
Shared, quite the banger. Just when I thought the scene was tapped.
Holy moly. Royal Coda is actually good now. Forget the new dgd, not being able to find the instrumental anywhere is no longer an issue bc im gonna be listening to this on repeat instead. Cannot wait to see them tonight duude
Instrumental Jackpot Juicer is everywhere on TH-cam man
They were already good.
What do mean "good now", they've always been good!! Also I agree, RC, at least in my opinion, has consistently released stuff better than DGD
this stuff is really good, but disregarding Juicer doesn't make sense
@@JohnDoe-mv2be yeah but I'm a quality snob. The TH-cam rips honestly hurt my ears a bit. I need the real deal files, at minimum 320 mp3s
Favorite one of the album besides the singles. Fuck this album is dope
Ayeee
Anyone else tired of Tilian on vocals for DGD and disappointed in their new album? So glad Royal Coda came out with their's.
🙋
Are you can read my mind? Damn...
Newest album singles were so trash. Went 3 songs in and bailed. I’m burnt out on Tilian. This is way better
Nope, I still like Tilian's vocals, his vocal range is fantastic and flows nicely, he keeps on improving his vocals like god damn he's great
No way, i fucking love DGD, it's easily one of the best bands ever, creative melodies, insane instrumentals, John Mess certainly improved his screaming techniques. I would rate "Jackpot Juicer" a solid 9/10 it's their second best album released. I never get tired of art.
i lolve this :P
This song spoke to my soul 😢 I'm only 35 and I am in the early stages of dementia. Can you tell me what to do before I lose my mind 😭
OH SHIIIT
I can’t help but dance to this song.
This song is so fucking good 💕
The intro riff is so janky in the best way possible
Better than dgd album
Baby making music right here xD
Drugs.
I like As We Fall Into Deep Waters more.
This song was perfect until the "I know it's alright" part. Those early verses are too saucy though so I just listen to the first half and start over.
