In both the UK and US version of this game (though I kind of prefer the US version myself), I really like how the bosses reactions to you are slightly different depending on who you decide to play as. Its a nice touch in my opinion.
Thanks for being so thorough with the boss encounter cutscenes! Gotta say, the UK cast does a great job actually *acting* and bringing the characters to life. This version is so full of charm! The US actors sound like they're just sitting there reading a script... like a lot of 2000s American dubs.
Well you have a Monkey who uses flatulence as a weapon, a Drama Queen, a Flamboyant Ape, A Monkey who's watched too many spaghetti western films and another one who pilots a Robot Dragon which spams Roast Chicken Deluxe.

What's weirder is that they use the Japanese character names in the UK dub, despite the US version giving everyone a new name that's perfectly fine for an English-speaking audience. This is made even more jarring by the fact that Ape Escape 1 still calls the protagonist Spike in Europe, changing only Natalie and Jake's names to Katie and Buzz, respectively. Very confusing once you get to Ape Escape 2 - you could be forgiven for initially thinking that Katie and Natsumi were completely different characters!
I have been looking for the song that plays from 33:39 to 34:22 and I can't find it, Im sure is not on the japanese version of the soundtrack neither on the usa version
I think I like USA's Monkey Blue's voice but I like Satoru/Kei's voice in the UK version better even though he sounds like he belongs at Hogwarts lol. Sayaka/Yumi's UK voice is super adorable though^^
Also, I just realised where else I know that actor from: it's Pinky from The Pinky & Perky Show! Not as cool as the AE2 US dub having Ash & Misty from Pokémon, but still interesting.

To start off, the UK voice acting definitely improved over the the 2nd game where all but 2 voices were terrible in comparison to the US version. That said though, the UK still makes some blunders with the actor choices. Doctor Tomoki: US version, no contest. The Doctor's stylish movements and Afro does not fit with a raspy serious VA like the UK gave him. Specter: This one is tougher for the UK specter since the US specter is the best once the NSTC version's gotten yet. But I think US wins here because Specter's UK VA from Ape Escape 2 gotten deeper with the voice and it doesn't go with Specter's character I feel. I think he lost his touch in this game. Kei: US. Kei sounds a little too similar to Jimmy in the UK version. Although I guess you can blame the limited amount of accents the UK has compared to the many the US has. Anyhow, I like the US version for being more capable of showing off multiple emotions. Look at the door scene, when the UK Kei gets hit he just says "oww" and doesn't sound he's hurt, US Kei makes a grunting noise that shows he's in pain. Yumi: Both are good, but I prefer US. Honestly UK Yumi's type of voice is one I recall hearing alot. Aki: Both are good. UK Aki sounds like what you will imagine a stereotypical female British person would sound like, and the US Aki....nothing much to say. Honestly their the least distinctive but not terrible. Natalie: They both sound good, but I prefer US Nat's lines more as she gives more energy to them. White Monkey: Both are great but for once the UK version edges out and the only one I can say the UK definitely improved over the US version. His Transylvanian accent really helps with the "Mad scientist" vibe of him. I love the delivery of UK WM's lines xD Blue Monkey: US. But I definitely appreciate a much better attempt of giving Blue Monkey a much more distinctive voice. As Australian as it is, it is the closest the UK/Australia has to a west lol. Yellow Monkey: Both are creepy, But I think the US version is even creepier given the fact that instead of going on a date, he wants Kei to be his personal chef forever..and given Yellow Monkey's sense of fashion and personality.....Yea that's infinitely more horrifying than a date. Pink Monkey: Both of the regular voices for Monkey Pink sound good, with a leaning towards the US version because of how older Pink appears fitting her teenage voice. Her angry form voices on the other hand...yea its lacking. UK tries way too hard to be creepy and it comes off as hilariously bad, and the US one doesn't change much other than Pink being more forceful with her tone. But at the very least the US actress tries. Red Monkey: The UK VA tried, he really did, but he simply can't hold up to the NA VA. The Professor: Both are different analogues to the standard intelligent but egg headed professor, nothing wrong here. Overall, a better performance than the last game, but still not an equal to the US version.
This is one of the only game series I've ever seen where they have two sets of voice actors for the exact same game for different regions to be honest it seems like a ridiculous thing to do I mean the games are exactly the same (as far as i know) the only difference is the voices and the dialogue for me it was a completely unnecessary waste of time.

The British kept the Japanese names, while the Americans Renames the 2 Main Characters into 2 or 1 Sylabble Names.
