Had the pleasure of seeing both films. Even though the film was adapted almost one-to-one and some actors were seen twice, the second directorial effort had much more depth. Akki Sir and his fellow contestants showed a lot more emotions. Sarfira has more oomph and the music is better. One of Akki's best films. My heart clearly speaks for the second version. Surya and Karthi lost all my respect for not only being unthankful to Ameer who launched Karthi in such a massive movie which changed the dynamic of Tamil cinema but they did not even pay him his due . I mean his Fuc£ing profit share or due. Not even a penny was given even though Ameer competed the movie with his own money borrowed from relatives and frnds . Shame on you Surya family
