There are deals if you look around enough. Walmart and Target can yield good deals if you live in an area that the game isn't that popular. TCGplayer has some amazing deals here and there, but you generally want to switch to singles after opening some sealed product as you're going to get diminishing returns.
Appreciated for your nice summary! It is really helpful! I am about to start buying one piece cards. Would you recommend me to go for starter deck or collect cards from booster? I aimed for both competitive playing and carf collection😂
If you aim to do both I suggest you should buy both 😂 alternatively, you can buy a starter deck and then singles either for collecting purposes and to improve you deck! 😄
This week I purchased 4 different black starter decks. (6 8 14 19) I'll keep them in their boxes until I figure out if I want to combine and make a deck.
Congratulations on this video, it was really good! I have a doubt... I'm interested in buying cards in Japanese and many times I see booster box cases being sold with 10 booster boxes and each booster box says there are 10 cards in each booster box. And I also see people opening booster boxes with 10 cards and 6 cards, both in Japanese and from the same collection. Would any be fake or do they produce different boosters with different quantities? I would be very happy to know this doubt made me worried when buying.
New to OPTCG here my friend recommended I got 2 PRB01 booster boxes for myself and split one with my friend , I would personally recommend PRB01 for any new players coming in!!! It is an expensive hobby , but what other booster box would you recommend to buy besides PRB01 that’s worth the money and worth collecting
I'm new to optcg and was thinking about buying a OP-09 Japanese Booster Box because I really like the cards you can get. Would you recommend this? And is it worth getting a japanese booster box or english because I heard you only get one hit for japanese?
If your interest is in pure collecting and no playing then go for it! The main difference between English and Japanese is that Japanese has everything halved (cards, packs, prices and guaranteed hits). This doesn’t mean that you can’t find a manga rare in a single pack though 😅
You should be able to find OP09 in stores in a little more than 2 weeks. If you want to buy OP05 you can go to TCG Player but be aware that prices might be very high! There's no reason to overpay. As for the choice, I'd wait for Op09 to be honest, it should be easier to collect than OP05 right now!
is it better to collection in english or japanease ? (Im asking that bcs in english booster u have more card and english display u have much compare to japanease display)
If you play (or plan to play) you should go for English. Japanese, in my opinion, it's much easier to collect as cards and other products are cheaper 😄
Thank you for your kind words! I’m planning to do some video series on cards’ and products’ prices (I need to understand if I can do it weekly or monthly) and probably another one on how to play the game with different decks. What do you think about that?
@@TCGMonkeyI think it’s probably a good idea for some people but I live in Germany and here it’s not a very popular game. I just collect one piece cards because I love it greatly. I’ll be very grateful to you for any new content. Enjoy it !!!
@@Atlas-jm6fo I deeply appreciate your support! I think I'll upload something about the latest price movements by the end of the month and then I'll figure out what to do next given the response... Let's see! 😅
Sometimes it’s difficult to find products at msrp, try to check online and, if you find something with a good price, see if they can ship in your country
The devil fruit collection looks like straight up cheeks. It was borderline false advertisement with the picture vs what you actually got. Treasure booster isn't msrp anywhere so it's not a feasible purchase nowhere close to 20 bucks. If you can pre order, then you're pretty much REQUIRED TO or you'll miss out and have to pay sometimes T R I P L E msrp. Long term sealed, sure, get what you want to spend money on, but don't get scalped by people that are just greedy.
The point of the video is pretty much to inform people about how much OPTCG products should cost and what you actually get from each of them. I don’t like scalpers at all as they ruin the collecting aspect for everyone, so if someone wants to buy something at a much higher price they should be aware of it!
everything well explained you have all my support
This was an amazing video man, thanks and good job
Thanks for watching! :D
Thanks for explaining the different type of products out there. Couldn't even find this on the official One Piece website.
Thank you for watching! :D
Indeed it was so simpler… thank you for the video
Thank you for watching! I hope it was useful 😅
New fan thanks for all the info it helps a lot
You’re welcome! Thank you for watching!! 😄
I just started collecting this and this vídeo is perfect!
Thank you!!
You can find God packs in the english version as well
Nice consice summary, thankyou!
You’re welcome!! 😄
The hardest thing about this game is finding cards for msrp. I plan to play OP and collect Pokemon primarily

That's true, but this applies manly to a few cards per set. The vast majority is still cheap, so you can still collect even with a small budget :)

nice video but where on earth are you seeing avg $800 cases 😅
You can see snapshots from eBay in the video 😂
Is that cheap or not im new 2 one piece I've come from pokemon

Do you play or plan to play competitively?
@@TCGMonkey Probably not. I want to look over how these decks work.
Great time to get in.
It absolutely is! 😄

Talk about pre errata. Should be equivalent to 1st ed shadowless pokemon or alpha beta mtg

I think OP09 will be awesome, so if you can get some boxes of that it wouldn’t be bad!

How to get some cases? ebay isnt that trustfull
Try to check on TCGplayer (even though they're often out of stock)
I’m new to one piece so I’m wondering where do you find a reputable seller? I heard OP-05 is good so should I collect OP-05 or wait for OP-09?

Just secured myself a super prerelease luffy deck. Good investment or nah?
That's somewhat of One Piece first edition so I'd say it is 😅
i just looking One piece Decks 4 5 7 10
Try to check TCGPlayer or other online resellers (on eBay you should be able to find something), but be aware of the prices!
@TCGMonkey yea thx
Df02 concept is very cool but bandai messed up with awful design
It's a little bit expensive to me, but I really like the Alt Art DONs!
One Piece TCG is so overpriced where I live.
