thx a million for the tip of the LED and the battery, never knew it worked like that 😀😀😀😀😀😀 i ended up fixing my 25yrs old casio wrist remote, still runs as back then , even since it was up the attic for 20 yrs collecting dust
Best thing to use is a safety pin or tweezers like he was using at first. I would not use a spring bar remover like he did in the end , you could end up damaging the battery clasp. I've changed many , many Casio watch batteries over the years.
My watch just worked with the new battery but I am sure there was a little reset pad on the back of the board. Maybe short those pads out and see if it starts to move from 12:00:00

I replaced the battery of my cmd 40 but time on the screen remains costant. It is all the times show 12:00:00 which does not change
