  • @jesusoftheapes
    @jesusoftheapes ปีที่แล้ว +1

    you get better flight out of TPP slugs out of that thing. Also it needs adjusting of the reg a bunch and you'll tighten up those groups with the magazine. Now what I want to know is this thing a huge pile like most AEA Airguns ? This one I am really interested in. However I got it on good authority that they are making a .457 in a LCS frame with the Western Airguns offshoot of the Rattler in a deer killing caliber. So I may wait for that to come to market . The trouble I have with AEA is LEAKING AIR. They all leak bad. what is your experience with this airgun leaking?

    Now I know from two different shooters what to kind of expect when my .45 arrives,great info,I believe them elite bigbore guns will be decent 100 yd guns but I’ll most likely keep mine to around 75/85 yds💪🏻😎

      Ya little bit.. 357 does the same thing.. think I'm going to take it apart and add a spacer to the spring

    • @myfalconry76
      @myfalconry76 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@MichiganAirgunner you know trying to find a tempered spring of the same size from a fire arm that will fit. Possibly might have to mod its length. But a tempered spring would work a lot better than the cheap untempered springs Aea are using. Yo can stretch and bend those springs. The springs in fire arms you can’t. At least not easy! You can take a pair of pliers and manipulate the Aea springs pretty easily. But they are not hard enough or retain their shape to hold up for the duration. The springs are basically collapsing under those pressures. A spacer will fix it until it collapses further. If AEA would invest in hard cold tempered springs these guns would be flawless in my opinion. The bad thing if you call around to the various dealers you get so many different reasons, valve seats, valve pin, the ambient temperature being too low. Moisture, oil. Everything but the springs.
      It was your video and the use of the spacers that made me evaluate the integrity of the springs concluding that the springs are cheap and not made of proper material and are not tempered springs like they most definitely should be.

      @@jesusoftheapesI have 3 of them. HP max ss, challenger pro and elite. No problems yet. Hundreds of shots through them. I never air mine up into the yellow on the reg. • @jesusoftheapes
    @jesusoftheapes ปีที่แล้ว

    something wrong with your reg or you were chasing the last of the bottle. You should not very that much . The one we tested was a homemade basic Challenger with a reg and we got within 5 FPS of variation max. I think you have an issue with your regulator. there is no way you drop over 12 FPS in three shots unless that ammo was way out of speck. If you had ammo marked a weight that was heavier than said you would have this effect. Something is wrong.

    • @jesusoftheapes
      @jesusoftheapes ปีที่แล้ว

      and with his ammo I have found none of it is match . It all weighs different weights unlike a lot of better ammos on the market.

      That's a tough question.. every one will have there own opinion on this.. I would say for over 100 yards I'd go with a Zeus.. Under a 100 yards challenger 35 and up .. under 75 yards the HP max model's.. that if you're only looking into AEA... There are so many different brands out there that do very well but I haven't tested them all

    How's the regulator working on that gun I hear they can't get them to work right so that's why they're not releasing them that's what they told me at the pellet shop yeah I can see I asked you this before you shot the gun I can see the regulator is not working right they shouldn't be that much of a spread with a regulated gun

    • @MichiganAirgunner

      So far this one seems ok.. the reg still needs a little tuning.. the first shot was a little high but the last 5 were pretty on point for a regulated big bore.. I don't think it will be as consistent as a regulated 25cal but but it does work
