- Today we want to show you how to work with set-in gores.
I wasn't planning to shoot this tutorial, but I decided to do it after showing you the dress with such gores.
I realized that it might be difficult for some of you to stitch the set-in gores.
Today we will show you the whole process very thoroughly.
We'll tell you everything very thoroughly, and we will show you what to pay attention to.
We need to cut an opening first.
It's very important that you shouldn’t cut to the end of the gore.
Next we need to double the angle part with a piece of interfacing.
After that we’ll make the cut longer, and only then tack the 2nd edge.
It’s also very important that you should stitch not from gore side, but the wrong side of the item.
Otherwise, you wouldn’t be able to control what is happening with the angle.
Natalie will show you how to edge the gore with an overlocker.
It’s very important to be able to iron the seams accurately.
I’m just showing you the technique.
Make sure that the gore is accurate and iron the part above it.
