The audio is REALLY spasming out between roughly 1:30 and 1:57, it literally sounds like records being scratched through the commentary. other than that, great videos. Hope you get the audio fixed!
i hate when it does this, its an error on youtubes side thats been present ever since they first started to use the new "studio beta" they seemed to have messed with something in there uploader but it randomly effects uploads. the raws and rendered files for example are completely fine with no issues.
that fisherman always plays a certain way. once you have ifrit, quistis, elnoyle, jumbo cactuar, and marlboro, you will never lose to him. he always goes for top left. so whether youre first or second, place your cards like this: marlboro to bottom left, elnoyle top right, jumbo cac either middle square or middle left, ifrit bottom middle, and finally, quistis to the last remaining spot. the only thing the fisherman has to win elnoyle at the top is bomb, in which case youll still win 6-4 lmaoooo. This way you don't have to run to the save point every few rounds

Just imagining walking up to a fisherman in real life. Challenging him to a card game. And he keeps pulling double and triple and beyond of great cards. Yet he never wins or gets upset.
Anytime you play the fisherman you will abolish the open rule. Instead play the same guy in the cafeteria you get the Quistis card from. You won’t abolish open rule and he is more likely to use Elnoyle cards
Primalliquid I spent 10 mins running in and out of the town and every time it wouldn’t show Open for the fisherman. The guy in the cafeteria has a much higher drop drop rate of Elnoyle. On average I’m getting them every other game sometimes back to back

I was following everything you did up until the end of part 1 then part two it jumps ahead and you have different cards like bigs and wedge? and the fisherman doesn't show up for me at all? can someone please help? thanks!
i just skipped the first bit of grinding agaisnt him thats all. so after part 1 i just went straight to the fisher and started playing. as for him appearing it seems to be slightly bugged with him not always being there, your next best player to go agaisnt is trepes groupie 1 in gardens caferteria
For future peoples searching through the comments trying to figure out where the fisherman is at. Some of the npcs in the town/village? Aren't static npcs meaning they won't always appear when you enter the town. If you go to the docks and don't see the fisher man simply leave the town out on to the world map and re enter. I had to leave and re enter twice on my first attempt to get him to show up.
Too many flashbacks to hours spent battling Zell's mom for enough Elnoyle cards to grab LionHeart, and enough Malboro cards to give Quistis gingivitis and save myself the pain of grinding to get Doomtrain... I did it horribly wrong.

the audio bug is on youtubes end (happens alot with longer videos) as my raws are perfectly fine. in terms of Part 2-3 not really just get 20 elnoyle cards then learn abilities on the beach (using Card so you dont get XP) then you can head to dollet to fight the spider boss 15+ times to max out all of sirens abilities.
After changing the ol' undies after the audio scare, I thought my headphones were picking up another frequency so I turned em off to check. I already think my place is haunted so I was like.... Um... Ok that just happened lol I actually enjoy the card games throughout the series.

back in the original he didnt always abolish all rules from balamb, in the remaster it seems to be 100% though, you can get it back from the queen of cards though for 30k gil, and since this guy is by far the best for elnoyle cards imo its worth it just for the time save, other than that theres Cid after dollet and the quistis groupe 1 who you win the quistis card from, and yes learning all her abilities

Holly crap I thought that audio glitch was bad on headphones, but it’s much worse on my tv. Anyway, just curious but how did you get rid of the open rule accidentally? Is it in the video? I’ve played before but never really understood why rules change. Just started the Switch version and one hour in and I’ve already got at least two of all the starter rares. It’s hard to read the text on the small screen at 3x speed, so it was a nice accidental surprise. Still I absolutely love the card game but I’ve never taken full advantage of it for strengthening my characters. Defiantly want to watch this play through while I grind!

I explain this twice, both in part 1 and part 4. but the Elnoyle cards are required for lionheart as early as possible and you need 20 total (2 energy crystals to convert into pulse ammo)
Play the hell out of triple triad early on to gather cards to mod for Marlboro tentaces, star fragments, energy crystals, and steel pipes, and save a lot of grinding much later on.
Your method: 1. Jumbo Cactuar on bottom left 2. Ifrit on bottom right 3a. Quistis on the left side 3b. Elnoyle on top right 4. Wedge/Biggs on the right or on the bottom

The fishermen uses high level cards more often, this helps your own hand as well as giving you better things to Card-mod. This gives you high level magic early game, in turn better stats, like stupid high stats.
I started playing the PS3 version because I couldn't be bothered buying it again and it took me 67 attempts to get Jumbo Cactuar I'm not even kidding after that I got the others pretty quickly including a nice card from the Bug bite so Now I'm just watching you to make sure I don't screw up I won Quistis pretty quickly but Mini Mog took a little while to get mostly because the guy never played him but I did get some other good cards.
sorry to say mate but this is useless for someone trying to follow along step by step it skipped like 1hr ahead of part 1 and didn't show anything you did in that gap you cant intro a part 2 saying "well i farmed everything" and expect people to know what that means, or what you did the fisherman wont even spawn for me for example so. yeah. wont be following this, a 100% guide should be a 100% guide

I hit a dry spell with the fisherman around 10. Found out if he dont play it on the first card he isnt going to play one
he sometimes goes 2-3 games without using one, after that he will typically use it twice in a row though
