I read this more than a half century ago...yikes! Memories of this story are mostly about the movies and Orson Wells' great radio show! Its almost like hearing it for the first time. I had long forgotten the real book! Gracias

Spoiler alert spoiler alert!!!!!!!!!! Not really.... maybe! The ending had always interested me! Sometimes i believe he just thought "Im exhausted, this is what they are getting"!!!! But it is a unique finish!
