My late father would have called you not only a builder of a plane like the ladybird, one of which he had, but an artist,also the way you threw or should I say let go of the ladybird shows that you are a man who knows what he's doing. Thanks for the memories.....
Thanks very much for your kind words. According to model plane mags. I avidly read as a boy the "proper" term was to launch a model. But various terms were used such as 'lob it up' or for goodness sake stop messing with it and chuck it. The real knack, is to launch it at its flying speed and climb attitude. With the advent of proportional radio control such skills have been largely lost. I like to keep one or two freeflight models ready to go as they take me back more than 50 years and of course trimming these little beasties so they fly reasonably realistically is a bit of a challenge.
