Thank you so much for recognizing the genius of Ms. Jackson - the Master ! Listened at her knee since 1965. Your voice is so perfect-; She would have approved. 🌕🐾🦇✨💛
It's always nice when a story leads one to delve deeper. [Possible spoiler alert] Jackson's short portrait of a depressed, paranoic teacher shows how the masks some people wear are fragile. One wonders what caused her to hide a deep insecurity behind a prickly controlling persona. A good choice, WNS.
I can give you my personal take on it. It's about feeling inadeguate and being unable to stand up for themselves. It's s also about being wronged by people one tries to help. The teacher is initially feeling superior and willing to grant a favour, expecting the child to be well behaved and grateful. When the child tryes to take advantage of her and shows that she does not respect the older woman at all, the old lady is not able to master the situation, and she reacts in a child-like way, showing that she is in fact at the same level of the child, and her supposed superiority is non existent. She even goes so far as to plot lies to defend herself, as a small child would , and ends up running away from a situation she is not able to handle.
Hi Windy ! Enjoy your readings and , while I don't always comment , I always listen and LIKE . I like your story selections though I have heard many before (the price of being a horror fan for decades , alas) but still enjoy your treatments . Also , I really like your selection of visuals in your readings....you do a great job with those and have had some real creepers ! The doll with the living eyes in the opening is a prime example ! Keep up the great work ! 💀🎱💀

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
A creepy doll story, thanks!
This little girl is clearly Rhoda Pendrake. ( I think that was her name (( “the bad seed.”)) )
PENMARK.

I don’t get it. Can someone explain it to me?
I don't get it either! I guess I need to sit with it for a while.
Right there with ya.
Same
I think maybe she is the little girl and she has a split personality?
