I found it relatively easy. You do not need to remove the front cover. Middle cover slides off when removing 2 screws connected to front panel. Oem Oil filter is purflux as cost about $10.the car is much louder than my w211 was. Direct injection is loud!
Yeah it's amazing how the new Hondas have this direct injection in the tick really loud. I suppose they make more power and get better gas mileage LOL😀
at the dealership mercedes uses a suction set up to suck the oil up through the dipstick whether its hot or cold. typically they never touch the drain plug.
@@Syntheticoilprotection I worked for mercedes for a time, so I learned standard procedures for most of their line of cars with few exceptions some high end AMG's, G wagons and hybrids were beyond my scope of work. But many of the standard model C300, 350, E-350's 450s, S550s and such. as long as they are not AMG cars can have the oil sucked up through the dipstick with a mobile recovery tank. so yes most of the cars you could do an oil change without even lifting the car. but all cars get the multipoint inspection so it still gets lifted and looked at underneath for anything out of the ordinary, brakes checked that sort of procedure. With certain newer C300 cars there is a different model 4cyl turbo engine that has to be drained from the plug by raising the car. and all the AMG's have to be drained from the plug.
This was my question exactly since I just bought the car I would like to do the oil change and it said to use a pump extractor but this classic way looks fine? Is the pump necessary?
My nephew got a 2015 e350 a while back. He told me today that he paid $600 for an oil change. I was like no way, how is it that much? So I'm looking at Mercedes oil changes. GDI engine are creating a huge problem, doesn't matter the oil, this problem is the carbon deposition in admision manifold and the valves manifold. Is there a product in AMSOIL to clean and remove this carbon from manifold and valves admision? Best regards
Yes the best way to handle this is to start with an Amsoil engine flush at the same time I recommend using a bottle of Pi performance improver. The next one that's wonderful is called the Amsoil power foam which will clean everything throughout the motor. th-cam.com/video/SL4wjmUAhBo/w-d-xo.html Between those three things your engine will be totally cleaned

How would the PI clean the valves if the engine is a DFI motor? @@Syntheticoilprotection okay thanks , I was just asking because I was concerned about the valve clatter coming from the engine but I’m also aware that Mercedes engines sound like that . But was just asking the mileage for comparison because in person it sounds the same but how would one know if it’s slight rod knock instead ?
Great question in Amsoil has three different types of motor oil and they use proprietary mixtures of both of them and they keep it private because the percentages change. They look at results and do continual testing on new mixtures all the time. You'll see the different motor oil selections here- www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/motor-oil/gasoline/?zo=5331179
Correct they do mixtures in the mixtures change frequently that's why Signature Series he's not API certified because they're always changing the mixture to meet and exceed all the new specifications before everyone else. The reason Amsoil is the leader and lubrication is because they meet and exceed all the new specifications months before anyone else.
I would run one of the diesel oil in a diesel because it's got extra additives for a thickening and it also helps with rust protection. I would go with one of the diesel motor oil recommendations. If your car is not listed you can always look it up and call Amsoil technical support any time during the day @ 17153998324
Neither one is better. It has to do with emissions compliance and catalytic converter. The highest protection would be Amsoil 10w 40 premium protection high zinc and phosphorus. www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/motor-oil/gasoline/premium-protection-10w-40-synthetic-motor-oil/?code=AMOQT-EA?zo=5331179
The benefit is not changing the oil filter sooner because when you switch over to 100% synthetic signature series you'll notice the oil will get dark very quick and that's because the detergents are cleaning all the old mineral deposits out of the motor because the car is now a days come with synthetic blend. so it's an added benefit to flush the motor that way you don't have a bunch of old carbon deposits going into your new oil filter. I have a whole playlist on engine flushes which you'll see on my channel
It's a great question Aaron it's a very small difference the big difference is when you do the 50 gallon bottles of oil. My friend Jeff that owns a garage will probably end up buying it by the 50 gallon tote. You just have to have the space to store it! The other way to save money with the oils to buy $10,000 at a time however I don't have a space to keep all the fluids......lol Do you own a garage Aaron?
@@Syntheticoilprotection What I mean by closeups is insert shots of the filter and where the oil is going . I can add a reminder, add the next miles to change the oil and date, the AMSOil for the car, when to change the oil filter and the bypass filter, what type of maintenance I did on the care, any parts that I change...etc.
Amsoil has a section called my Amsoil garage where you can log all that stuff
@@lilde66 great idea. Eben suggest it to corporate
Lol, did you have the fuel cap off with the engine running?
What’s the mileage on that e class
It was fairly low mileage I believe I'm thinking 50,000 if I remember correctly I may have showed this speedometer in the video.
If you would like to try the Amsoil this is my personal link and that would give me the credit I would be your Amsoil dealer I could always answer your questions in the future on the products.

✅ If You're New To AMSOIL I Recommend The AMSOIL 6 Month PC Membership because it will save you about $33 on a $100 purchase after the difference in tax - www.amsoil.com/offers/pc/?zo=5331179
6.5? Mine take 8.5 2014 e350
This will give you the fluid capacity and the products for your vehicle.

Does Amsoil use Group 4 or Group 5 base oils?
Great question in Amsoil has three different types of motor oil and they use proprietary mixtures of both of them and they keep it private because the percentages change. They look at results and do continual testing on new mixtures all the time.
You'll see the different motor oil selections here- www.amsoil.com/shop/by-product/motor-oil/gasoline/?zo=5331179
Ok so I looked it up and the signature series use Group 4 base oils and the other 2 are Group 3 base oils.

Mercedes modern cars doesn't need engine flushing
The benefit is not changing the oil filter sooner because when you switch over to 100% synthetic signature series you'll notice the oil will get dark very quick and that's because the detergents are cleaning all the old mineral deposits out of the motor because the car is now a days come with synthetic blend.
so it's an added benefit to flush the motor that way you don't have a bunch of old carbon deposits going into your new oil filter.
I have a whole playlist on engine flushes which you'll see on my channel

Why don’t you buy oil by the gallon an save a few extra bucks ?
It's a great question Aaron it's a very small difference the big difference is when you do the 50 gallon bottles of oil.
My friend Jeff that owns a garage will probably end up buying it by the 50 gallon tote.
You just have to have the space to store it!
The other way to save money with the oils to buy $10,000 at a time however I don't have a space to keep all the fluids......lol
Do you own a garage Aaron?
My
Never show how reset sensor oil!
Feel her up 😂
If it ain't wet it ain't protected and if it ain't protected it ain't wet that's why the wetter the better!!!
you need some close up brother!
What did you need to see closer?
@@Syntheticoilprotection
What I mean by closeups is insert shots of the filter and where the oil is going . I made one video of my son changing the front brakes on mbz c300 , try to watch it if you can , it’s good for your future videos . Just a thought my friend .
