To stop a door without a physical switch (or the P switches), create an OR gate to assign to the door, and leave the conditions unconfigured. I usually call this gate, NoAutoDoor.
I'll try that quitting/reloading trick next time I'm in the spinny spinny situation. I thought the ship would just despawn so I've never tried doing that. What I usually do (and it's way more cheaty than quitting and reloading) is to go into god mode with the invisible option so I can access the ship's control panel and power it down. That sometimes stops the spinning. Not sure why it only works sometimes, maybe it only works if the ship has a generator left or some other condition. If that doesn't work then it's back to just hunting down the core and taking that out.
Better yet, replace all the doors with force fields! Problem solved. Yw. Lol. But seriously, doors annoy me to no end, they just slow me down as I’m running around the base.
Maybe blast doors to create choke points, Rakoona, but ever since the costs of using (but not crafting) forcefields went down after an update, forcefields have been more worth it. Expensive things, but fortunately common in loot.
Another tip regarding cruise control; I have found that I only have to set it at 70% or so to achieve max speed. This will depend on thruster set up and weight carried but there's no point putting your foot right down if you don't need to.
In space near a large gravity well like a planet, speed gets even more interesting, but there is a trick to take advantage of the wells to flee drones. And be careful--they will use the well, too.
You can find some radiation boosters for your armor which will give you more protection against it. And take showers to get rid of it! But, if you're in a high radiation place, I don't think you can do anything about the sound! Unless you go in your settings and lower the volume :D
@@Rakoona Is standing near a generator, or fridge, or assembler, or just about anything, high radiation? :D I don't play with the radiation settings turned on, and this constant static is very distracting. I'm just sitting here wishing I could play, but I cannot bring myself to listen to that anymore. :( Damn shame. Great game...Well, a nice way to kill a few hours, and make some nice ship models. :) Does wearing the radiation boosters make the static go away?
I don't have anyone to do the second voice, and I do that for most of my episodes. So I improvise! I know that voice acting isn't the best, but a lot of people still like it!
What about on MP servers for Tip 4 of reloading the game? I can see how it works being SP since it doesn't save motion so the reload has the ship stationary.
I imagine if you are alone in that area, it should work. If anybody else is in the area, I doubt it will. Basically, you could just fly away at least 3km so its not rendered anymore and then return as well, I beleive it would stop then as well.
@@Rakoona I read somewhere that If the core has been destroyed you can place your own and turn off thrusters in the control panel. Apparently that can do the trick.

That works as well!
Those are really handy tips, thank you!
My pleasure! :D

Yeah! we've gone through a few available options here in the comments that would all most likely work!
Thanks much for these tips!! I will make use of them for sure!!

Totally agree with you! Doors slow you down, but if you're playing on a server and you don't want people in your ship, you'll need doors :D

Guess that all varies from one ship to another!

What’s the deal with using 1 voice for 2 characters?

They need a tractor beam so you can grab a ship and stop it from moving/spinning.
Hmmm, like a "force stop" function. That would be awesome!
that wont be abused at all :)
5:15 yeah but what if it was online
Maybe get out of render range for Server. and then return. I'm not big on servers, so I can't be as accurate with that.

@@Britonbear True, if the core is destroyed that could work! But that isn't often the case!
I wonder if the spinny spinny ship tip works online.
Try getting out of rendering range and return. 4 km away to be safe!
Yes, caution is needed with this trick. If you log out and a ship with no core is nearby, you may find it has despawned when you return.
Can you please do a video on signal logic and building tips?
Yes, I will eventually as soon as possible! Need to do a little more reseach on that first.
@@Rakoona thanks man
this game is amazing imo for single player. i think it's universe is comparable to big space mmo.
Absolutely! And all planets have builings, and all building are accessible! You can go almost absolutely EVERYWHERE in this game!
Please don't use the Lord's name in vain.
It's a bad habit, I know!
Amazing video quality, editing and direction. And you are such a character. 😁 You deserve definitely more subs. That game is a niche though.
Thanks! :D Greatly appreciated! Working hard on these videos!
