It’s been over a 15 yrs since I attended my first National FFA Convention. Which is also when the first Puerto Rican National FFA President was elected in 2003. I was there as a member of the national chorus. I was 1 of 2 African Americans in the choir. Initially I felt a little out of place and was really curious about how the next 8 days would go. Needless to say the next 8 days with my fellow singers was AWESOME!!! I made so many great memories with the kids (now adults) in chorus. When we weren’t singing on stage we were in our hotel hallway displaying our vocal abilities with a different array of songs. When I tell you there was a huge GAP when I first showed up In Kentucky, October 8th 2003, I mean there was a big one. But by the end of the convention; I couldn’t have been any closer to the members that had become my family.
Having trouble finding Closed Captions or a transcription of the speech. Hard to share your message to everyone when our deaf members and friends are left out.
We must give Trump a big thank you forgiving it to Future Farmers of America FFA let's make America great again God bless our President and God bless America let's do it FFA
