Fun fact: Although virtue gems are often attributed to mount verusso and the beast, the description of the Geomantic gyre, an unique staff, says that the first virtue gem was given to the mortals by titans, this could suggest that there is something in the world of Path of Exile that may have been the primal source of this power, predating even the beast itself! The titans will be appearing in PoE 2 as we have seen in act 2 from gameplay already available. I made a video about this ;)
@@TalkativeTri Thanks! Hope you enjoy the video, and if you have any feedback, I’d love to hear it!

@@The-Lore-Weaver i'd disagreed with you, the flavor text said the staff was given by the titans, but nothing imply the gems were also given by them. The staff might be ancient and the vaal has it with them when they mined the first virtue gems from the beast. If virtue gems did exist prior to the beast then it would break the history of virtue gems entirely.
It is actually implied that the first gem was given by them: the timeframe of the events of the fall of the titans aligns with the proto-vaal civilization, much before than the rise of the vaal empire. at that time, gods already existed, and after the fall of the titans, actually, we see the feats of Lunaris and Solaris against the Lightless. this indicates that we are talking about a past with gods who were not in slumber due to the power of the beast. The vaal empire rised much later and at a different geographical location, now, saying that the staff was passed on ages until it reached the vaal, now that is an implication not made by the item and any other text. In my opinion, this does not break any part of the story, it just shows that everyone thought the beast was the prime source of the power of the corruption. PoE2 is here to show us that another seed of corruption was found, and another beast is being created ( this is confirmed in the last Q&A I think ). The gems, like the beast, are the fruits the same source of power, of corruption, which is probably rooted in the depths of the earth - no wonder so many characters hear whispers from the depths, and also, since the titans were situated in the depths of volcanoes and magma, it would make sense that they would be able to "tap" into the power of gems while also controlling the downside of corruption.
Fuck, and the giants blood keystone mentions the titans too... Now that I think of it, gemstones hold power beyond gods themselves, as it let's mortals not only challenge and defeat gods but the cosmic entities of the Atlas too.
I’ve been a critic of you making videos just for the sake of pumping out videos. The age old quantity vs quality meaningful content. But this video was great, good work.
This is perhaps the best video I have seen from you so far!!!!! Super interesting! I do not know much of the lore, though I wish I was able to hear it after walking away from an NPC...
Loved the video. Also, wanted to point out that PoE lore is based on the actual story of Australia and New Zealand. It was colonised by the Britannic Empire and used as a dump for the prisonners that were overflowing the prisons in the main land (thinking they would die there, but that part failed). So people were literally exiled there, and had to deal with an incredibly dangerous environnement, as well as the natives. I'd even go on a stretch to say that Sin and Innocence could represent the evangelicals that went there and tried to convert (and massacre) the native population, technically "putting their gods to sleep". Most of the gods lore is also based on the natives' religion and mythologie (that you can also see in Moana, the Disney, btw). There are probably a lot more connections I don't know about or didn't notice (the map of Wraeclast is also very close to an actual map of New Zealand and the neighbouring lands), but I love them. :)
@@elohel3293 The massacres and general genocide of the arborigens are very documented events. I adored the format. The storytelling through breaking it down to bite-sized pieces was interesting and easy to follow, without being overwhelming with minor details and nuances. As a PoE lover for 10 years now, I was aware of everything showed in the video, but I was intrigued to stay and watch the whole thing. Can't wait for the next ones. If you want some feedback for the upcoming videos, I'd say throw some more text on the screen for us adhd'ers. It would certainly make the context of the story more concrete and memorable. Thank you for the effort, keep it up!

So Wraeclast is receiving a bunch of exiles, but who's sending them? And what are the exiles who aren't the player doing now that they're in Wraeclast?
I'm still unsure if I should pay the $90 difference to be eligible for the free POE 2 access or just wait to see how much the POE 2 key supporter pack will be
I’d wait and see, we are 2-3 weeks out from learning everything.
Where is the next parts?
The only lore I remember is that we fuck shit up by killing the beast and then we go kill some god. We also go to the past and kill and destroy it... In fact as exile we are worst then some of what is on this place.
