Great episode! In my opinion I think Masculinity boils down to inner strength/resilience which extrapolates to different traits that all collectively define masculine energy. For example, inner strength to remain loyal which will then portray loyalty in relationships and friendships. Inner strength/resilience to control your emotions in all situations (comes with experience and practice), inner strength to put someone other than yourself first (your partner). Inner strength to to remain respectful even when its difficult to do so. Inner resilience to weather rough situations in a relationship. Inner resilience to humble yourself and learn new skills (hygiene, cooking, finance - skills needed to maintain a household). Inner strength to be able to be vulnerable and be able to communicate (both speaking and listening) without having to feel like you're less of a man. So in a way Angelo is right that masculine energy is supposed to contain the traits that compliment and attract feminine energy because the 2 energies should marry together to be an effective partnership which survives and multiplies. Hajane's joke about pushing a woman against the wall would be classed as sexual masculine energy, this is a different kettle of fish. So in conclusion, Masculinity could be a constellation of traits that are mostly positive which require inner strength and resilience to maintain and upkeep. Even the more physical aspect of masculine energy will need some level of inner strength to put fear aside and be a protector. Again, all imo! Happy to discuss!
