Thanks CW. They love to talk that is for sure. I enjoy them in the garage helping dad. I have never ran the line before, hope it was the right decision.
It is quite simple. Ditch the filter and use an adater to route the oil from the pump through a massaged gallery through a remote mount filter and an oil cooler back into the engine where you have taken that baby line. Obviuosly some drilling and blending required. You have straightened out about 3 kinks and have a bigger volume of oil into the engine. The usual restrictors etc and you have improved a bad system. You could also Y it back into the engine and take oil to the front and rear oil galleries. Something I did with drysumped Chevs which save no 1 main from starvation. You can do similar to many makes of engine as they are all drilled as cheaply as possible. Taking a line or main gallery restricted OEM and straightening it out and taking away restictions at fittings makes the oil get places with less fuss and aslo gains a few hp from the pump not working as hard. A race Clevo requires a high volume pump and blend all the intakes and outputs from the pump and into the block. The oil cooler is generally not required as a cooler but makes an excellent deaeration device. Wet sumps at best always circulate aerared oil.. Though really these engines need dry sumping, more so than many others. And are still fragile! However all the adapters inc Denale are at best very poor and require a LOT of work not to be a huge restriction. Ditto with the remote filter mount. That 6mm line cannot hurt unless you lose the line but

@@DaveMcLain yep had about same oil pressure as before. Tough to say until I run it this am. Hey you never know. The filter was designed for a cat loader or similar engine
If your worried about the 90 degrees in the block, why not use aer0quip type fittings. (Straight 3/8" NPT to the block, and a -6 hose fitting-if I guessed right) -nice flowing elbow, 90 degree, like a mandrel bent pipe, but aluminum. Then go an to pipe-add your Tee for the Oil press. send. unit., An back to the front of the engine with another 90 degree (Straight 3/8" NPT to the block, and a -6 hose fitting-if I guessed right)- to the 585 port.
areoquip Stainless steel with teflon lined, SS braided outside-good for 4500PSI, nearly fireproof, or Aluminum fitting and hose-similar to Sumiit stuff. All these fittings can be reused-mostly, some thread pick up.
Spelling intentional so no advertasmints, LOL
Got as a kit so never took the time to change. Next time around I will make sure straight with no changes
Silly request I know, but can you send me the link for those blue pads?
Mike what Blue pads the drapes? Those are what they use in the Operating room to drape patients. You can't buy them that I know of. Thanks Mike
@@DragBoss351Cleveland He probably means the ones on the vice.
@@roaddog1973 I will ask him. Thanks appreciate you watching my channel.

Thanks man interesting
Your most welcome. Never did any mods like this before. Stay tuned Robbie
Where do find the SCM intake manifolds.
Tom you can try and Email Scott at scott1070@bigpond.com. Glad your here, appreciate it.
I showed my buddy your channel I told him this is a real engine......lol....was sick of listening to big block chevy and I pulled out some of your videos..........lol..... I'm a Ford guy and he's a Chevy guy so you can only imagine how bad we bust each other's chops
I can dig it Chris. I have a few Chevy friends, I accept their weaknesses. Lol. I hope he liked the videos and channel. In truth, it does not matter what engine or car. It matters that you take the time to build and appreciate engines in general. This is a list art and falling by the wayside. Just trying to keep the cleveland alive. Thanks for hanging out at the DragBoss Garage.
@@DragBoss351Cleveland ....... yeah I was wondering why I wasn't getting your videos on my notifications I made sure I change that so I get all of them...... keep up the great work though
@@chrislore2681 thanks Chris. I appreciate it. Getting ready to load up this am to go to Weaks Ford Country Garage to run the 409c.
Where can I order that kit
Can get one from Tim Meyer TrackBoss Performance Products.

I would mess with that horrible "oil pressure switch" and install an actual oil pressure sensor. (I'm not hating)
I work for Ford and they still use this oil pressure switch design. An actual oil pressure sensor would reduce diagnostics time down significantly. Especially with all of the hydraulic cam phasing Ford now uses.
John I have a mechanical gauge. What oil pressure switch are you talking about. Stock I understand. Nothing stock here. Thanks for watching and commenting. Hope you have a great 2022
If you run a FilterMag And change the oil every 3000 km. You will get very long service life out of any motor
Thank you. I’ve always ran a filter mag. Because it just makes sense. I’ve never read about them. I know how efficient they are. Sounds like you have some information on them. Share it with us please. Have a great holiday season. Stay tuned to DBG.
