1.The officers should leave. Let durkan and the city council take care of crime and all law abiding citizens leave or 2. Bring in the Military and squash these rats. This has been planned and in place for the last 6 years. It’s not even about police as much as the bigger plan. My son in law was stabbed last year protesting against Antifa in Seattle. Durkan and the city council are reckless, careless, short sighted and downright dangerous to the cities safety. These officials should be recalled. They don’t serve the people. They serve themselves. The mayor and city council sit in their high priced homes with security and a paycheck. This could have all been avoided in Seattle, Why wasn’t it? The city council’s plan will fail and is designed to fail. Antifa /BLM will be your new police force. They also plan on larger cuts to the force next year. Food for thought. Marisol Chable I agree with you in that hurting others isn’t good behavior. Cops being jerks or protestors baiting cops is all bad stuff. I’m an extremely patriotic citizen. And that goes beyond showing up somewhere and waving flags. It starts with thinking about and educating myself beyond a knee jerk reaction about what is right or wrong. And beyond talking only to others who agree with me (echo chamber) and accepting the world as being more complicated than right V wrong, and also accepting that as hard as I try to do the right thing, sometimes I’ll screw up. (Which is why I don’t like guns because you can’t undo the damage they do.) The first test of whether or not you are patriotic is if you go around acting “bicameral,” that a political party is a patriotic party and the opposition party is the enemy. At that point you’re demonstrating a lack of understanding of what patriotism means and gullibility of believing those whose “dress” appears patriotic or self-claims themselves as patriotic. So patriotism is hard work, requires studying of opposite opinions, and accepting you don’t know everything.

I'm so glad I'm retired, but I can't understand why you would work for a city like Seattle. There is a shortage of officers across the country you can just about pick any agency you would want to work. The nice thing about the USA is it's a big country with lots of opportunity. Go somewhere where you can enforce the law and see them prosecuted. Sure I've been hurt on duty but the guys that hurt me paid a high price for the assault both on the street and in court.
@@snowman4008 Not anymore it's very easy for an officer to change department's. There is such a shortage of officers and of applicants departments can no longer be picky. The days of 100-200 applicants for an open position are over they are lucky to get five or six and most can't pass a drug screen, mental evaluation or background check. A certified officer can easily move to another department. A friends son just did that to another state and they bought out his retirement and he keep his seniority. Young people don't want to work outside anymore they will work for half the money sitting in an office cubicle. A lot of cops on good departments can make $80,000 to a $100,000 a year with overtime, holiday and shift differential pay. Either he can make a fraction of his income or he can learn to police responsibly and not act like a thug.
I live in Washington state on the east side but I really feel that people need to stand along side these officers and support them in whatever way we can, and if needs be help protect them against RIOTERS. They are certainly not getting the support they need from the city officials. These officers are doing their job and are not systematically hunting and killing black people. It’s just ridiculous to think that way.
No cops should be expected to just stand there and be attacked night after night and not be allowed to defend themselves. District Attorney's have to follow thru with prosecutions of rioters and not just drop the charges. If DA isn't going to do their job cops should just walk off and let the politicians stand out there night after night and take the assults and injuries.
Every person that wakes up each morning safely in their home owes every police officer In America a debt of gratitude and a hell of a lot of respect🇺🇸🙏
no phone call to the president needed. Just 2 phone calls. One to the head of police telling him police should start arresting The 2nd one to the DA telling him to stop releasing arrested people. The problem is not that it can't be done. The problem is that the mayor is not willing to do. For some obscure reasons she prefers destroying her city. What does she think will happen? Led to 18 arrests mean nothing, when the police have to let them go an hour later, because the Portland District Attorney will not charge these rioters.
Sounds like they need 50 to 200 counter rioters to come off the couch and be deputized nightly! They also need to invite city council out for a few nights and let them see exactly what the men/women on the police force are physically emotionally and mentally going through. Watching this and hearing what a good hearted citizen already knows... It's been far too long and needs rectified ASAP My opinions
Which will cost the city, county, and state even more money and the suit will be tossed out or quietly swept away and the mayor still won't be held accountable. Why? Because the courts agree with the riots and agree with the mayor and council that allow them. The only way to stop this is to bring in outside forces and officials.. Even then it's risky since it's been going on so long.
@Llib Nos No this was caused by governing authorities demilitarizing cops, being lax with crime, and disarming the populace. It was fanned by the left mainstream media and funded by Domestic terrorist groups. The fault lies with the governor of each city. They're the ones who let crime fester in their cities. Riots need to be dealt with swiftly and harsh. But there seems to be none of that. Poor cops.

Cities are no longer safe. I moved from Portland to a small rural community in Nevada in April 2019. It was obvious to me Portland was rotting from the inside. Maybe the best decision I’ve ever made. We haven’t experienced any mayhem where I live. We had a pro police rally back in mid June and a few mental defectives from the racist agitator movement showed up. The majority of us showing support for the police were open carrying sidearms. The pathetic cowards with their sloppily written signs espousing hate and division turned tail and disappeared. I have no doubt there will be an escalation of violence from these bitter losers after Trump is reelected but I’m not worried, after they burn the cities, they’ll stupidly encroach on rural America and us ‘deplorables’ will be justified in shooting them. Problem solved.

I can't feel sorry for Seattle - the citizens keep voting in trash. However, I feel sorry for the Police officers who aren't allowed to enforce the law. This could effectively be dealt with in a few evenings if the Mayor and Governor activated the National Guard.

The votes are rigged, thats one of the reasons we keep getting thugs like this in office. The police union should have a strike if the Seattle citizens get a taste of what it's like to be in real danger they will sing a different tune
Many people here have absolutely had it. However, if I am honest, to say anything against the protests here will get you 1: assaulted 2: ostracized at work 3: labeled as a racist Trump supporter. You are not wrong though, I fully support bringing in the National Guard and cleaning these people out. The politicians in Seattle should be made to suffer for their horrible policies.
Seattle voters are getting what they voted for. They are learning a very hard lesson. When people show you who they are, believe them. I pray for Seattle and its residents daily, especially a close friend who lives on Magnolia and has been burglarized many times. Left and Right voters of Seattle need to come together and rid the city of those who seek to destroy it. I am convinced there is common ground to be found in reclaiming Seattle. I was born and raised in Seattle but it is unrecognizable now. Life long residents have left and large numbers of renters have replaced them. The city has made a litany of bad decisions. I think it may be too late. Once Jenny Durkan THE NIGHT BEFORE THE RIOTS STARTED gave remarks that encouraged the riots and looting. The entire City Council and Mayor are the ones with the most responsibility here. And yes the voters too. Government has failed at their most important responsibility, to protect its citizens. I have left Seattle never to return. I am even considering leaving this state I was born in almost 7 decades ago. I am saddened.
It's not the police who need to be retrained, it's the public. We have grown into a mouthy, mobile phone wielding, vulgar, uncivil society with no personal responsibility and the attitude of 'it's the other person's fault', 'you owe me'. A society where children grow up with no boundaries or knowledge or concern for civil society and personal responsibility. When an officer says "Put your hands up," then put your hands up! Don't reach for something in your pocket, your lap, your seat. There's plenty of reason for a police officer to feel threatened, there have been multiple assaults and ambushes on police officers lately. Comply with requests from the officer, have your day in court. Don't mouth off, or fight, or refuse to comply... that escalates the situation. Police officers are our sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters. They're black, white, brown, all colours, all ethnicities, all faiths, male and female, they are us. They see the worst side of humanity... the raped children, the bloody mangled bodies of traffic victims, the bruised and battered victims of domestic violence, homicide victims, body parts... day after day. They work holidays while we have festive meals with our families. They miss school events with their kids, birthdays, anniversaries, all those special occasions that we take for granted. They work in all types of weather, under dangerous conditions, for relatively low pay. They have extensive training, but they are human. When there are numerous attacks on them, they become hyper vigilant for a reason, they have become targets. When a police officer encounters any person... any person, whether at a traffic stop, a street confrontation, an arrest, whatever... that situation has the potential to become life threatening. You, Mr & Mrs/Miss Civilian, also have the responsibility of keeping the situation from getting out of control. Many law enforcement officers are Veterans. They've been in service to this nation most of their lives, whether on the battlefield or protecting us here at home. They are the only thing that stands between us and anarchy in the streets. If you want to protect your child, teach them respect. From Sheriff David Clarke From another source: I would rather 12 people decide my fate, then 6 people carry me to my fate!!!!
Calling the "other side" animals is just what got us into this mess. We agree that police should be treated with dignity and respect, but when you don't extend the treatment of human beings as human beings towards the side you happen to disagree with and can't empathize with them, that is when you create more situations where negotiation and understanding and compromise is deemed impossible. Dehumanization is truly the worst aspect of humanity.
@Hello There While I generally agree that violent offenders need to be arrested, there is sometimes more than one way to skin a cat. Occasionally there is a context where it may yield more pragmatic results to not inflame an unwieldy situation, such as the CHAZ one. I'm not saying the mayor executed it perfectly, but there is a time and a place where it may be helpful to take a step back, look at the big picture, and see if you can find ways to appease people that are justifiably upset about certain issues like systemic racism when the entire point of the cause is against police brutality and authoritarian tactics in the first place. That's in short opposition to a strict and unyielding interpretation of the law. Which method leads to less violence, less anarchy, less rioting, and more people satisfied that their grievances have been wholly addressed?
@@randyweaver9528 You can not call people animals and acknowledge them as human beings and also take precautions and act pragmatically at the same time. Do what is necessary to contain violence and prevent people from being killed, but treat them as human beings regardless. My point was the dehumanizing of "the other," and the vicious cycle it tends to engender.
@@codylee729 Respect for the law and the right for citizens to live in peace is the only thing protecting the violent rioters, the lying media and the corrupt politicians. George Floyd committed suicide from drug overdose. He was screaming that he couldn't breath even before he was on the ground. Still a sad loss of life that the enemy devoured.
...just like Kirkland did. Armed citizens came out with AK-47s and stood in front of businesses during the riots. The rioters saw them and drove right past. A reporter asked one of the good samaritans if he thought the his presence escalated the situation. He looked at his gun and said, "Not all all. This is a de-escalator."
Small towns have them! AND if those panty waste rioters came out to the country to pull this crap, they would die of exhaustion just walking the distance between one home and another, so that by the time they got to their next place to destroy, their fatigued arms could not lift a tire iron or a rock to break the windows. Here, also just about EVERY home is armed and well-stocked in ammo.
(Which is why I don’t like guns because you can’t undo the damage they do.)
The first test of whether or not you are patriotic is if you go around acting “bicameral,” that a political party is a patriotic party and the opposition party is the enemy. At that point you’re demonstrating a lack of understanding of what patriotism means and gullibility of believing those whose “dress” appears patriotic or self-claims themselves as patriotic.
So patriotism is hard work, requires studying of opposite opinions, and accepting you don’t know everything.

Go somewhere where you can enforce the law and see them prosecuted. Sure I've been hurt on duty but the guys that hurt me paid a high price for the assault both on the street and in court.
You are clearly a 12 yo
You dont pick the department choose you.
If you are in a special class departments will fight over you to go with them. While it's a terrible time to be a cop it's a great time to get a job in law enforcement.

The way I look at it is its a future Republican state.
@Frank Abagnali Clearly you can't read .
Seattle will learn nothing. Look at the california pot heads moving to Austin and voting for this exact system.
Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!!
Officer Adam Fowler, much respect to you, I applaud you. God Bless

Thank you for what you do officer Adam, be safe and hope for a speedy recovery, we need more guys like you god bless!
Abuse like this to our service people is so unacceptable. The rioters are total animals and completely brain washed. STOP THIS ABUSE.

BS!!!!
Herakets Games so treat them humanely while this happens? Uh thinking like that is a sign of total lack of logic. Pure maniac. Meet force on force.
Need to recall the mayor.
Thank you for all that you’re doing!
Don’t worry homie we got your back, just give us some time. Once it kicks off no turning back
What do you mean?
@@codylee729 you'll see soon.
@@codylee729 Respect for the law and the right for citizens to live in peace is the only thing protecting the violent rioters, the lying media and the corrupt politicians. If the system fails then police will not protect these people from freedom loving Americans. People will be held accountable for their actions, and they will be judged as they have judged others.
Gordias although I am not opposed for private citizens to step in to protect the businesses of law abiding citizens, ought not they conduct themselves according to the law? Ought they refrain from vigilante justice? I do not claim this is what is being done, but to warn those would be fine patriotic protectors to not become what they are protecting from.
@@codylee729 People can defend themselves and their neighbors if they must, and that is part of the law, but they too will be held accountable for their actions, so make good decisions. Pray for peace, but be prepared for war.
Police that are dealing with these riots should receive "combat" pay.
Amen
and allowed to engage the trash
More than combat pay - in combat they're able to fight back.
@@margots1623 Add hazardous duty pay as well. A good reason for a bit of double dipping. Good point.
SurviveUnplugged How about the mayor/police chief support the police department and let them do their jobs? If they are out numbered, call in reinforcements! This has gone on way too long. The rioters have been permitted to get away with murder...literally. Those that have been arrested have been released! What kind of leadership is this? Why does the city not support their law-enforcement officers?? Voters need to hold these people accountable in November.
All this taxes we pay for summer of love and we can’t even operate
Take your city back!
better believe - Putin wouldn't put up with this crap
leokat001 Time for citizens to hit the streets and protect what is theirs Stop expecting cops to wipe your ass while you’re hiding in your house
Brian N , yeah I see what you’re trying to do there.
Nadler said this is a myth.
Someone makes sure this makes it to the White House and the National News ....the rest of the country needs to see this
The national news is on the side of the wacky left wing liberals. They would NEVER show this on the air. It might make people think.
They do see this. The problem is they dont care. Look at how Kamala shifted on her "Biden is racist" remarks. It was a debate. That told you all you needed to know about the left right now. They only seek power at all costs.
Just watching this man trying his hardest to keep it together here is heartbreaking.
Blue Lives Matter!! MAGA Trump 2020 🇺🇸💪🏻
Blue Lives Matter, our President should bring us together to hinder these rioters. IMO he exacerbates it.
its time to start charging people causing these types of injuries with attempted murder.
What about "Rioters will be shot on sight?"
Thats "looters will be shot on sight"
Rioters and looters need to be shot on sight!
This is really a powerful interview. Its sad, but Seattle is getting what they voted for.
The people should get petitions signed to recall elected officials who refuse to protect them and their businesses.
George Floyd committed suicide from drug overdose. He was screaming that he couldn't breath even before he was on the ground. Still a sad loss of life that the enemy devoured.
Praying for you and the other officers. I respect you so much. Hopefully you don't quit. You need you.
We need to form militias in every Seattle neighborhood. An armed population is a polite population
...just like Kirkland did.
LOLOL And if they have to use that to defend themselves and their homes here, the crazy ones among us have acres of land for placing the fallout from the cleanup where no one would ever even know the refuse was there in the first place.
Unfortunately the socialist governor's wouldn't allow it. They hate freedom, all that want is power and money. They've legislated away the entire Constitution including "the free exercise of ..." What now? 🤦
Lol! Most of the liberal washrags that live there would just blow a toe off playing with their new gun.
I totally support the officer, the people have to vote out the Mayor and City Council. I doubt that would happen. I live in Wisconsin and we support Law Enforcement and their families.
Democrats voting for democrats..........what could go wrong?
Send in the feds or the bikers, at this point I dont care what happens to the rioters anymore. Take em out of here!
Yes.....any way you can.
Officer Adam, I am thousands of miles away in Louisville, KY and tears are streaming down my cheeks as I've watched this interview. You, your fellow officers there, here and across this country, your families, are our heroes. You ALL deserve our thanks and respect. Don't lose sight of this.....YOU ARE APPRECIATED! GOD bless!
Prayers for this man ❤️ we love you Brad!!! And we are here for you!!!!!
Thank you officer for everything you try to do. I am so sorry you were hurt. I hope those that hurt our officers get everything that they deserve.
Muahahahahaha
I hope u share the same convictions about the corrupt officers and institution that has effectively destroyed our communities by not protecting and serving them....

@@Mikevdog cops r not my protection nor have they ever been....I'm fine w them being defunded bc they do more bad than good..I prefer the peoples justice
Every single SPD officer needs to resign and go where they are appreciated. Leave the thugs to the residents who want to defund the police.
@Abby-bear they are trying to. Those very same people want to defund them. Try going to work everyday and endure hate without any tools to fight crime and no support from your boss. Add to that, how dangerous your job is. That will wear in you emotionally and mentally.
My heart breaks for this young man!! Prayers are with you and the other officers
I feel so sorry for you man. You guys have shown so much restraint. I don’t know if I could do that. I hope you make a full recovery physically. Mentally this will be with you forever. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for protecting Seattle. As a Seattle resident, I greatly appreciate what you do, and support funding the police.
Thank you officer Adam Fowler for your services and duty in these hard times.
Rest assured Officer the Powers that be in Seattle are definitely throwing you under the bus for their political ends.
They've thrown the police under the bus and backed it over again a few times.
It's not just Seattle, it's literally the elite and those in power throwing us all under the bus.
@@sleeplessinseattle5160 Can you refer to them as something other than "elite". They are not elite anything.
Seattle doesn't need to make changes to their police force. Seattle just needs a new governor, mayor, and city council.
agreed, like yesterday
What a brave man, and a quality person. All the best to you sir.
The legalization of all drugs would go a long way to reversing this course, reversing the conflict between inner city and police.
Fort Lewis is right down the freeway and the Marines at sub base Bangor are just a ferry ride away.
now, that's an idea
Yes we need the military to get involved ⭐🌟💫✨
The minds of these rioters are already destroyed by their emotions that lead them to hell.
Nice one Crisanto. 🙄 That made no sense.
Freeattle Has Fallen! Would the Last Person throw the mat¢h!!
Thank you so much for your service. There is no reason anyone should be going out to hurt another person.
My heart goes out to these officers and am glad this man had the courage to be interviewed. It's nice to hear a legitimate interviewer that wants to expose the truth without the usual political bias that we see on most networks. We are all fed up with the politics of the left and the media that propagandizes it. These rioters need to be prosecuted and the politicians need to denounce them.
