@ well unfortunately it is true in many cases. Without knowing the specifics for Shaqs sister I still know from experience in my family that fighting such a brutal disease can be really exhausting and death can become some kind of relief for the person directly impacted by it. Those cancer therapies are really tough man. Of course you would rather see your friend/sister/mother/father/brother make it and get healthy again but when they fight it as hard as they can and it doesn't get better you have to accept it and hope that at least they can die in peace and without too much pain
@ the only misguidance here is on your end. Cancer is no joke. Chemotherapy is no joke. Radiotherapy is no joke. Chemtheropeutic medications are no joke. She most definitely is in a better state now that she is not physically suffering.

It good to not feel serious pain, but to not feel anything, ever again? She was young. I don’t know her situation, but theoretically the pain wouldn’t have been around if it was possible for her to live her lifetime
Well i do believe in afterlife, and thats why in these situations, I pray to the Lord that either they be healed and have them recover, or that He takes them with Him. By faith the loved ones left behind know she is now living the best life.
