I left the classroom in 2019 and I absolutely love being able to work on my own thing like my TH-cam channel and my podcast. Having time to be creative is absolutely impossible when you're teaching! Great insights, keep up the good work!

thank you! I totally agree- it's hard work, but I am really enjoying building my own business. I've never had so much control over my schedule before. Don't hesitate to reach out- I'm always excited to hear what other creators are up to

I agree with everything you said. I haven't taught since May 2022, and in that time frame, my time has become my own, and I'm more available for my children, and I love it!

I'm quitting my job too. My boss doesn't respect or believe in me. She was once upset I had signed up for a one-person shift. She scolded the manager below her rank (then 25) for not noticing I had signed up to go solo. When she asked him if she thought I could do the shift, I answered for him with a firm "yes," because I felt belittled by her. She said she didn't think so, was all "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen," and she told me I need someone there to give me instructions and guide me. What's funny is my newer coworkers, who only started a year ago (same time my boss scolded me), are allowed to work shifts alone. Four years prior to that confrontation, and she had no faith in me.

I’m sorry you’re going through that! It’s always so tense when a manager doesn’t fully trust the people they oversee. I hope you can find a better situation!

@@PrimaryFocusI want to prove her wrong, but she'd have to _let_ me take on a solo shift. The key concept is, we don't know. We never found out. And if you want my opinion, that's so wrong. Depending on an ASSUMPTION about people isn't very rational, if you ask me. You never know until you try, right?

@@PrimaryFocusYou know, when my coworker handed me a birthday card to sign for my boss, I merely wrote HB on it. I wonder if that will give my boss a hint.

Need more research & observation to know which kind of difficulties teachers are facing ?& how to fix responsibilities & rights duties. Need to know which parts of the 🌏 have too much stress due to bad toxic natures not going to check properly thanks your experience.
