I'm dead serious in saying that child swap at Universal is an absolute game changer!
We sent 5-6 years ago and our daughter was about 2 so she couldn't ride anything.
By using child swap, my wife and I basically used fast lane (free!) for EVERYTHING and probably did twice the rides we would have done of it was just me and my wife.
One team members even gave us a special voucher for our daughter to come back in a few years when she is tall enough and she would basically jump to the front of the line!
Having a young child with us literally gave us vip treatment!! They even made us jump in front at the Harry potter restaurant because we had a toddler with us!🤯

just went in December with 4 kids. used child swap on multiple rides. loved that they thought about these spaces while building the rides. 11, 9, 6, 4. 5 days and still didn't get to do everything. all girls.

Thank you for telling people about this....we did this a few yrs ago when my youngest child was 2. We did it so our older kid can go on rides and we could BOTH experience the park ...
We were able to ride Spiderman, Men in Black 4x (no lines cause we went to the single rider lines)

Yo PC!!! Thank you for making this Vid!!! Yes, I am coming with a toddler for the first time later this year, I have no idea what to do!!! I am an OG park commando, rope drop to close, banging out rides, zig zagging the park, shark attacks, I know I am not going to be able to do all that with a kid now, but I need to be able to ride the movies!!!

It’s great they do this for families. I’m taking my 8 yr old next month, he’s not into even kiddy coasters or jerky rides so I’ll be utilizing this. I think he’ll be able to do Spider-Man and transformers but for Gringotts a definite no, so I’ll be using that child swap! Other than rides there really is so much to do and characters and play areas, entertainment. We’re going during Mardi Gras so that is a must do outside of rides.

We used child swap, aka parent swap, extensively at Universal, Disney, and every other amusement park we ever visited when our kids were Young. I would have never visited so many amusement parks if they didn't have it. It works really well at Universal.

Hey Dev, can the kiddo take a snack while they wait in the room? Also can you do a video on people with handicap that would make them need to sit more frequently throughout the park, ie back problems. Aside from renting a wheelchair or scooter, example can we take a folding seat with us? Thank you for this video!! So super helpful!

This is going to sound silly but, we just went to USH during New Years. I have a 12 yr. Old and a 1 yr. Old. I was aware of the child swap but i was intimidated to use it. I wish i would've taken advantage of it. But i am hoping to go to USO and Epic towards the end of this year and i will definitely be using it.

My kids loved Universal especially their play areas. My 6yr old loved Curious George area so much. And they had fun doing the wands spots. My 4yr old didn't like the simulator rides so we ended up using Child Switch a lot. I think I like it more than WDW's. I like staying with my family because I knew where they were in line instead of wondering how much longer it would be like at WDW. I know I can go do other things at disney but I prefered to stay near by so I wouldn't miss them exiting the attraction. I think it's nice that Universal has rooms set aside and as soon as my husband came back with the other kids I didn't wait long to get on the ride when it was my turn because the load station is just right there.

I’m not sure if you can comment on this but I put off taking my kids to Universal multiple times because travel agents kept telling me it wasn’t for kids and to do Disney instead. When we finally went to Universal we had so much fun and I really regretted not going sooner. Does Disney pay larger/faster travel agent commissions than Universal or do a lot of agents really believe it’s not fun for kids?

The child swap is better in universal and island adventure. The only ride I must caution is that et does not have a waiting room for you to stay in. Once the parent is done riding the other parent wanting to ride has to wait in line again 😅 it needs a refurbishment for that alone but other than that the other rides we went on have a waiting room and not having to wait in line again. I think the best waiting room in all the parks is skull island because they even had a changing table for my babies. And play the Kong movie while you wait. I made the mistake of my daughter having an accident in her diaper while waiting for the Simpson ride but the employees told me I can change her right there even though there wasn’t a changing area

Specifically touching on the queue and child swap between the mouse and Universal. I have a few comparisons if anyone cares.
We've had our Universal annual pass for about 8 years now. We got a Disney annual pass that expires in less than two weeks. The way these parks handle children is vastly different.
Disney is wayyyyyy more accommodating when it comes to kids of all ages from infant and up. Many rides we've taken our son on who was about 6 months when we first went to Disney. From Peter Pan to Pirates, to Ariel, to It's a small world, etc. And that's just Magic Kingdom.
Universal has exactly zero rides to take a small infant* on. Once the infant is able to sit unassisted, they can go on one fish two fish, storm force accelerator, the swirl ride in Simpsons, and the caro suess el. Then the next available ride is E.T. at 34". That doesn't leave much to do aside from shows. There's really no comparison for what they can ride at Disney.
Where Disney fails is at the actual child swap system. If the child does not meet the height requirement for a ride, they cannot even wait inside the queue. They MUST wait outside while the first half of the party goes through the entire normal queue and then when they are done the second party can wait the entire length of the Lightning Lane. Which can basically double your wait time for each ride you want to swap on. In contrast, Universal let's everyone through the queue and the family splits near the ride entrance and then the other parent typically goes through the exit or close to it with very minimal wait time.

Thank you, came to point out this distinction with very young children, Disney is king hands down. Especially Magic Kingdom. I took my daughter at 10 months onto rides at MK, in her baby carrier at that. You absolutely cannot do that at Universal. Take your kids to Disney when they're young, then to Universal as they get a little older and are less imaginative/believing in the magic. Kids these days hit that age much younger than they used to, so get in your Disney trips while you still can. 😂 Universal is definitely more for the taller young kids, tweens, teens & adults.

@@PCDev for sure. It was eye opening the first time we went to ride Rise of the Resistance at HS. We were halfway through the queue when a cast member came up to us and basically kicked my kids out of the queue causing my brother n law to miss the ride since he sacrificed his spot to take the kids out. We've also had to wait, with a reservation, 45mins for Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot while my sister and her husband went through LL. Then we child swapped and we went through LL and had them waiting 45mins for us to get off the ride. Effectively doubling our time for that one ride. Disney child swap is straight up trash lol. Thankfully they do have so many rides the young ones can ride. But Universal still gets our money because we enjoy the parks way more than Disney for other reasons.

    • @RobertoMezquiaJr
      @RobertoMezquiaJr 15 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@natizaniboni2024 that's fair, but consider that you can also wait outside on a universal ride and they will just take you through the exit when you swap. So you still skip the double line (having to go through LL)
