Totally agree. If that was my sister/daughter/friend I would have absolutely agreed. As long as she lives the dress, and feels beautiful in it,that’s all that matters.
That first dress looked AMAZING on Katie. But she FEELS beautiful in the one she chose - that's what matters, and she looks absolutely stunning in her gown.

I think the first dress did suit Katie and perhaps they could have had the embroidery in white instead of green? The form of the second one looked a bit more aging as outdated. If she were overwhelmed, she could have made the decision another day. Regardless she’s still a very beautiful girl and hope she’s happy!
I’m confused about the bride who had no idea what she wanted. She looked at everything and then finally settled for a classic mermaid dress? I feel she there’s more to this than just perfectionism. Feels a bit like ocd to me.

Why would they not tell guests it will be a destination wedding!!!! That is not fair to them at all, destination weddings are so expensive and a huge time commitment for guests

The 1st bride is beautiful, it was sad to hear her say she didnt think she was. And she looked beautiful in both of those dresses. The 2nd bride, she also picked the right dress. She was stunning as well. Heck every one of those ladies were absolutely beautiful and they all looked stunning.

How do you get "always" from a throwaway comment? Think about it - likely at least half the same people going to another wedding with an identical bride - wouldn't you want to make your weddings different? Sheesh. Your wedding day is the one day you really shouldn't be " one of yhe twins".

Perfectionism is usually expression of more serious issues. Eating disorder or BDD are mental health issues that are not to be taken likely, or confused with perfectionism or pickiness. If you are about to start a family and to take upon yourself a whole new set of responsibilities and life long commitments, you need to be up for a challenge mentally, well grounded and balanced. Or you are getting into new challenges before you've been dealt with those you already have. I've seen so many brides here who are simply not ready to get married and to start a family, for various reasons - that being mental issues or simply immaturity. Very few comments ever touched that topic and I find it to be way more important than dresses, tastes and never ending 'she's the bride' entourage criticism. With a bag of issue many of these brides are facing marriage and motherhood, frock or toxic entourage would be the least problem. All the best.
I've observed this as well on this series. I would note, however, that marriage does not mean motherhood. Couples can freely decide if and when they want to bring children into the world. It's the twenty-first century after all.
I was thinking the same thing. The girl who had an eating disorder is very fragile. Her need to be perfect and overly self-critical is showing in how tense she became.
I wonder what has happened in her life that makes her feel so imperfect. Were her parents demanding? Did she struggle academically --- because teachers and classmates can be so brutal. I had a next door neighbor who was so demanding on his children that they were in therapy at age 3 yrs old!
@@Anna-Rose- I heard that most of the "Bridezillas" got divorced and there was one bride that had a rushed marriage to a military man on SYTTD that got out fast. It appears he was going to be deployed and the wedding was in 1 or 2 days, for insurance and benefits reasons. The guy seemed controlling.
Entourages should always go with the brides choice. They throw the bride off so many times, especially one that has already tried on so many dresses. 😢
I got married in a navy blue polyester a-line dress with no decoration. It cost me $30. I would have been over the moon to have the first dress and the wedding to go with it. It was *fantastic*! 💖

Unfortunately, as lovely of those two dresses were, none of them really suited her. She would look far better in a slim figure hugging dress with far less distraction. those dresses were better suited to another body type. this does not mean she looks bad in them. she just let herself down by not choosing the style that best suited her figure. and in her case, she could have easily gotten away with a slimmer, more streamlined look that would have knocked the bridegroom off his feet.
