Useless after a few times of doing this exercise and I did note in the video, your phone had the app running, so that doesn't help your audience assess the value of the product. You did not tell us about the quality of vide camera (480, 1080P, HD?), whether or not it works in the dark, how easy it would be for anyone to steal your $500 camera using a plain screwdriver and ripping the nice plate from the back of your car? How does the camera compare to others in the market, etc. You made it look like you received the equipment for free, to create a silly video to sell a poor idea.

Well, price went down to $300 now. Considering the hassle free installation without wiring and another unnecessary monitor I think it's worth it. Problem though there's blockage on the actual license plate which may be a problem in the state of NJ.

What stops people from using this as a front facing camera? Most cars already come equipped with a backup camera, and whether or not the quality of the factory camera is satisfactory, that's another issue. But the point is, ya have one. Most cars, however, do not come with a front facing camera to help you avoid scratching the front lip on curbs and cement blocks when parking. I plan on buying this product and using it on my front license plate.
Just shop around, I got a couple, one from buying a car stereo with a built in LCD screen and got the camera as a gift and the other one came with a recording camera that I wanted just in case I run into an accident or something, both really cheap from Ge@rbest dot com

And 3: I believe the app will not launch as you backup and you will have to manually launch the app?
That is the best backup camera yet. BUT they all have the same fatal flaw. You have to 1. put car in reverse. 2. close open phone apps, find the app, boot up the app. 3. THEN go in reverse. SO, UNLESS you have a super tricky parking spot, you're going to use it ten times and then just revert to the simpler old school 'look over the shoulder' method. Therefore, it is a waste of mohnai. Nice kit though.
I wish they develop it as a streaming digital camera paired to a rear view mirror/monitor. Don’t have to worry about bulky items in the cargo area blocking the rear view anymore.
The boxing alone adds to the outrageous price. I've been looking for a nice backup camera but this one is pretty steep in price. For that price, I can buy the OEM from Hyundai and have it installed with a new rear view mirror. The one seller is the fact that it's wireless.

I agree. $500 is a bit much, but it is a completely wireless system (with solar power) that doesn't tax my 12V system further (which consumes fuel, believe it or don't). Over wired systems this one may pay for itself completely, if it isn't stolen by someone who finds a tool that can get the camera. My concern is that there's only one little screw and your dual backup cam is gone, and people can do so motivated only out of spite.
Here in Texas and I think in any state of the United States you need to show the whole state. It can’t be cover cause I been stop by state trooper and they have told me to remove that plate cause it covering the name of the state.

I'm always amused when people use phone mounts that go in your vents. OK in summer, but what about in winter? Phones warm enough already when using navigation/dashcam app. Of course, since my dashcam also uses the obd2 port via a Bluetooth adapter, I'll have to choose which one to use as well.

I can see how someone with limited technical prowess could benefit from the easy install, but someone who has the money to afford this product probably could afford a vehicle already equipped with a reverse cam. The finish and presentation of the product are certainly what could be expected when paying retail for this, and the mobile device mounting options are excellent. I have same car as he does, can you have him show the difference between your peek and the Accord peek? that might help more than just backing straight up. Also that phone mount looks great, may need to invest in one of those.

Yes, that's what the OBD2 connector is for. I assume it uses Bluetooth tech to send the reverse info to your phone
