  • In this video, we do a walk around and short ride out of this 1986 Honda CB125 TD-C Super Dream. It's not mint, but it was still a nice and sound little thing. It's mostly original, including the exhaust silencers. As usual, thanks to Charlie at Oxford Classic Honda, for letting us take out one of his bikes.

I watched it through. It was a reference to the revvyness of the bike. If you like revvy 2-strokes, you'll live this.

My dad and I passed our tests in 1988 on one of these (mine) EKP 214Y...exactly the same as this but I had an MBX125 nose fairing on it.

Just found your Channel and watched a few of your vids on the different bikes and it was great to see these old bikes, 2 of which I’ve had myself, this one the CB125T, the XBR500, and the little Honda Melody, they brought back memories seeing and hearing those again.
Will be watching more vids later.

Glad you've enjoyed our videos. It is great fun taking all of these old bikes around the yard and we've got plenty more in the pipeline including a C90 and a lovely CB550, shortly, if you like your Hondas.

I bought a 1980 Honda Hawk (not "Dream" in the US) 400 cc new when I was 19. Loved that bike.

I don't know if the Hawk was almost a cross between the Dream and Super Dream, as we know it. We did a rideout of the 400A Hondamatic a few weeks ago and I think it's styling was a little like the Hawk. Whatever they're called, they are great bikes and somegood memories of being a teenager.

@@MotorcycleFettlers Found this on the Internet: "In 1980, Honda launched the CB400T II Hawk, a motorcycle part of the CB series known as the Dream in the UK and as the Hawk in the US. The bike was intended to be a successor to the CB360 and CB400F and had only two cylinders compared to its predecessor, which had four cylinders."

I do love older bikes as well as my new ones

Agreed. We like bikes of all sorts. We love working on, and taking out, some of these old things but it's also nice to ride something modern where you don't have to keep cleaning the carbs or calling the RAC.

Remember looking in the Honda catalogue at these, got a GP100 instead which was a nightmare.

I can't quite remember if I liked the GP100; It's 2-stroke, of course I did. You wouldn't think there would be much to go wrong, on that little thing.

In my poverty days, I used to commute on one of these. Mine suffered in my ownership. Took 2-3 miles for it to run on two cylnders 🤣

I had the 250 with the Motad. Not a fan of the look. I expect original silencers are like hen's teeth, as they are for the 250/400s. Pattern ones are not so bad but, of course, you need the downpipes and gubbins to go with them.

imagane how great it would be to have a big wheel version of one of these and have belt drive. They would sell millions.
