This is defintely one of the more confusing concepts for new user,s, especially ones without a technical background. You did a good job explaining the difference. Nicely done!
When I'm in work-flow mode, I need everything I do during that time to be easily accessible from my keyboard. So, my work system is running Slackware + xmonad. When I'm in gaming mode, I'm on my gaming system that is running Garuda gaming. Which is running plasma. So, whenI'm in gaming-mode, I don't want to think at all and plasma just works. Once again, great video.
I can see that being useful. I can also see where a WM setup could also be good. Just stick Steam on Workspace 10 or something. I am still trying to pick out what the best option would be for me ultimately. There are some things I really like about Tiling Window Manager, but I know I need to dig deep to really fully understand and setup everything I would need.
@@Vashinator7 Well, I've been on Slackware a very long time and for me, it's the best for work. Xmonad took awhile to learn and even longer to try and pretty it up. Been using it for almost 3 years now. I don't depend on other people's configs. They just don't work for me. Or they work, but, not good enough. I'm very picky. I started out with Openbox and that was amazing. I tried i3, it wasn't for me. I've also tried Herbstluftwm, but that was a royal pain in the neck. But, whatever you decide on, I wish you well.
Thank you. I am working on improving my videos constantly. Still a long ways to go. I fully expect I'll end up on a tiling window manager due to the keyboard efficiency haha. I just have to find the right one.
I was surprised I got to that many windows. I have mostly been looking at hyprland but figured the Endeavor OS Sway install was the best starting point.
@@Vashinator7 I don't like bleeding edge anymore, I have used arch for a few years now and it always breaks. KDE plasma has been a wonderfull experience to rice but I found myself hating the pre-installed KDE stuff and I spend a lot of time ricing it up instead of getting work done. Linux mint and cinnamon are simple, I get a GUI and it doesn't break on update. I stick with debian based distro because the fan control software on my laptop only work properly on ubuntu. I have not tried fedora yet because of SELinux being incompatible with the script. I might give Window manager a go and try to get something as good as the one implemented in POP! OS. I don't game much usually play indie 2D isometric games which work great with proton and proprietary nvidia drivers.

I quite like ultimate keyboard efficiency, so I use arch with dwm. Great video btw :)

The sway default layout is awful btw😢

You are adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I enjoy cinnamon and Linux mint.
Yeah, Mint is a great distro. And I really liked my time with Cinnamon.
Why do you like Linux Mint and Cinnamon?
