My game I tested a herd of mule deer, 3 one star young bucks 5 doe. Checked on the herd each day, spotted then slept for 24hrs/repeat, until the fourth day when I found they aged to adult and racks had slighty changed/grown! Hope that helps anyone curious about the herd management age mechanic.

When I see a 4 star and want to Remember where it's at I use the map and place a tracking marker. Then if I kill it or it dies first I remove the marker
I shot a 5* moose yesterday that scored 481 with the 7mm which made me nervous cuz it’s not a tier 6 rifle but I made a good shot and it stayed 5* so I was hyped. Then got a 5* 🦆 shortly after. Was a great hour for me lol
Awesome bulls 👀 congratulations!! That moose tho! I agree that whitetail was most likely pretty old-personally I just don’t shoot 4 stars. I’m happy if they grow or pass away naturally as a 4 star at that point. Looks like you’ve got some nice genetics out there!
I just made my first 697m shot. I blew the knee cap off an elk I hit it 5x from 700m to 100m a 450m shot hit it's lungs and didn't X it. Then I called it in pinged its heart it ran away I saw it fall over into the water. But when I got close it jumped up and ran off again. I quick fired at its head to be sure and it finally X'd out.
Sounds ridiculous but have you come across badger at all lately? I’ve been all over the map and they’ve just disappeared from my game seems like. Been days now real time of absent badger!
Do y’all seem to have more luck with certain species over others because I have had five 5 star moose one of which was max score but when it comes to others I have no luck

I took my first 5 star elk doing the heart shot a elk under 109 yard got them in to 27 yards and dropped in his tracks that was truly a awesome thing to happen
Honestly with a few 5 stars shot of a few species I loose interest in the replay to look for more of that species. The racks just aren’t unique enough at 5 star to matter to me. Give me a huge framed 5X5 5 star whitetail, or double fork mule deer, etc nontypicals anything that would make it worthwhile to shoot more than one or two 5 star animals.
love your vids but bro you got to up that difficulty you are making it seem way to easy to find these 4 and 5 star animals when in the higher difficulty not only are they more rare but they are harder to hunt making an actual kill on a 4 or 5 start soo much more exciting and worth it.
I want to get into this game so badly I love the stalking nature of the hunt but that god awful audio for guns like the .300 win mag just pulls me out of it.
okay now try to get a European hare above 2 stars because they almost don’t exist
First one I ever killed was a 5 star and I’m not even interested in the small game hunting I just shot at a random euro hare and got lucky 😂
The gameplay loop of way of the hunter is awesome. It really gives this game longevity. I can only imagine in a few years what dlc they’ll have

I believe the patch said time change doesn't affect animal age. Just in game play time.

I have never seen mountain goats and that elk lake. Love to manage that herd as the camp site is just next to that lake.

How are you getting so close without spooking them? I can't even crawl to 200 yards without everything running away.
