David Guetta is genuinely a good guy and works hard for bringing money to help French associations(and even worldwide) to help poor people. Yes, he makes money, but he worked super hard for this. Respect him for what he has achieved. He is a professional, a producer, and was a DJ in Paris when he was younger. He did it all, and we should always listen to the people who have managed to break the barriers and be so big and still stay kind.
He is the reason I am a Dj/Producer myself. I come from India, a country where not a lot of people respect djs and artists like they should. My primary purpose as an artist is to change that in whatever way I can along with doing what I love. Hopefully, I will achieve that but this guy right here is an inspiration to everybody. And now that he is back with his alter ego(Jack Back) people like me are even more inspired to do. David has been here since the late 80s and he is not only still relevant but also he is killing it in the scene. This was a great video and I really wish it was longer but great job man. Thanks for such amazing content Grahame.
when he compares making pop to making "jack back music" on how it's complicated because with pop there are so many layers to it that you find yourself trying to hit all the points vs making it to please yourself, that's a hitter. 100% resonate with what he says.
Maaan I lived this interview hahaha he's so unique, greats questions also! Man, David is so authentic that's why 7 years ago he was the one calling my attention into this world. Thanks ✌🏻
He knows exactly what he's talking about. A truly source of wisdom. And when he says "you have to sound BIG", I know he's refering to the quality of sound and mixing, not to the style of music. Chill R&B can also sound big. It is all about the pureness of each sound your implementing on a song, and to reach that you have to know a little of the 1st point he talked (technical music skills). Anyway, what a goat
I am a new producer! My tips are play what you love but I love create anything! I miss house music!!! But i make Minimal Techno And I want to make multiple styles multiple albums and its the beggining of my carrer
Love David Guetta, I love his honesty and his sound.. I can relate to making a hard drive of shit music and gems sprinkled throughout. “ I just work a lot and keep the best “ 💪
Send it to him and his team or if it’s a new track out then they probably won’t sign it as a remix use it to build an audience by giving it away on Soundcloud with a download gate like hypeddit
Great Pointing. Many People are good educated players. But Art ist not engeneering mechanical things. It uses technical things but if there´s no art it´s not brilliant, it´s just o.k. I allways say reading a book you can get educated to. Writing a book is complete another world and skill.
Who is his nephew? I know Pilou and his older brother (The sons of David Guetta’s journalist brother Bernard) don’t make music. However, I think it’s the son of his step sister whom is a university professor.
@@grahamefarmerdt That is quite interesting. I have tried to reach out to artists in America using online data bases where phone numbers show up. However, most have either asked "who is this" then stopped texting, or just completely ignored the messages.

Yes! You need to become good enough that you can make 150 songs in a reasonable period of time so you can keep only the best 15. If you're idea is great, you can have the luxury of spending two months making the song. But if you need great ideas, you have to work fast, you have to become a great producer so you have the time to make 135 crappy ideas. *That's* why the technical part is important. If you're a genius, you can have 10 ideas a year and be a success. If you're not, you better become a great producer. Of course, the killer combo is to be a great producer *and* a genius. This interview is a hidden gem for the next generation of DJ and beat producers.
Thanks forr checking it out! glad you enjoyed it!
I don't know why people hate him. He is so genuine
@DarkForest i Don't think so he recently made a bootleg of wap in a video
People hate him because they don't understand that he's more a producer than a beatmaker. Facts.
More people liked him and his work than did not. Focus on the positives, ignore the negatives.
some of his songs (more probably pop songs than house songs) might be ghostproduced but he is still legendary producer , grear dj and nice man...
Because people don't know the difference between co-producer and ghost-producer
