Have been there many times used to take our kids camping there during the summers. The fence at the top has been somthing my wife has never stoped talking about. There are museum's the train ride , a zoo. Camping .lots to do but the lazer show is one of the coolest thing ever... everyone should experiance this place.

There are museum's what? If you mean more than one museum, there shouldn't be an apostrophe there. It's just "museums".

I grew up close to there. Went all the time during the summer. It was close to 20 years before i got back down there and took the wife and youngin. Wife loved it, youngin was too young to remember. It's a great piece of history that doesn't need to be removed. If you remove history your bound to repeat it!!!

Wow what a completely over the top lazer show. Whoever planned that just said "fuck it, use everything we got then go get some more stuff as well". And yep, let's have some lady screaming the song for 45 min. Just because we can. You gotta love an 'all-in' commitment!

Me too it was one of my favorite traditions for me and my Dad , always took my kids there , always put the big blanket ironically in the same area , 1:02 in video lady in white dress walking in the background we always were there, inside the train is original , went all the way around the mountain, the carry for riding up upon the mountain looks the same , even hiked up the mountain , Lazer show unique every summer always patriotic and proud to be an American song towards the end with even bigger fireworks Lazer show showing the horses walking those were the original details of my memories there everything else added on , usually open year round , there's winter fake snow now winter wonderland ect , golf course , lake you name it & the parking area also identical even in the beginning near where blanket would be that Lazer show building is the same , the last time I was there my son saw his very first fireworks with me and his grandaddy rip daddy also the fireworks also would look like they were in front then right above you , my kids loved it they were babies then off we went where ever the USMC sent us to & they grew up onbase pretty much thier entire childhoods when back home it was the historic Marietta square & whitewater park where my childhood house was lots of family live near it still even momma playing tennis on base as a dependent family were retired and Stone mountain park Kennesaw lake or Pauding County skating rink when home visiting family and friends from 29 palms or Camp Lejune all the other places oh and skateboarding was huge in my childhood always it outweighs my modeling well for me it always did lol my kids even granddaughter has an awesome photo on one of the skateboards she's so awesome I have more grandchildren in my 40s so I hope they enjoy some of my childhood memories of thier own I don't know how much longer I have so that's why I say it like that oh and I had a pool table and always will miss nature and the outdoors daddy and I also went for canoe rides I was I'm a Momma's girl too but as Spartan Greeks we had our own amazing things we always did being half white and Greek is precious to me miss the beautiful Greek islands and her cooking I grew up without McDonald's always fancy dinner but don't panic me and dad had tons of grill time we always put the two together , you have no idea how much your culture is actually Spartan your even bilingual and everything , momma did the USO tour so thank you for your other video of Bob Hopes funeral memories will definitely share with Momma I come from a huge military and first responder background and how beautiful to be able to view a place I never thought I'd see again Stone mountain park I'm not far Daddy's birthday in Heaven is real soon as I bring him his flower and Army flags and elaminated poem of God's garden at Ga. Jacob, thank you for showing us this vlog on the 4th of July. It has been many years since I have seen the laser light show at Stone Mountain. We lived in the Atlanta area years ago and really enjoyed visiting Stone Mountain Park. The show was awesome. I enjoyed every minute of it and really enjoyed your commentary. The train ride looked fun but back in the day it was a steam locomotive. You can walk up the mountain but I always preferred the ride up. Thanks again Jacob!

The company Breyer has made breyer models of famous civil war horses, despite what side of the war they were one. I want to get them all to honor them, they didn’t choose what side they were one, but should be remembered and honor for their bravery and courage in battle. I also want to see them in museum just to see them, though I’ll note, Comanche is labeled the last survivor of one of the battles, he wasn’t some others had survived as well but he was the most honored and remembered for it. He too is taxidermied and on display at a museum.

I was gonna play "Take a shot every time I find myself saying, 'Only in Georgia,'" but I forgot to buy Southern Comfort.
I'm old enough to remember when the only ride at Stone Mountain was a steam-powered locomotive. That is not a joke. My mom's a Georgia native (we live in California), so several family vacations were in Georgia and points east.
