Vibration reduction only is an added benefit of stabilizers, not its sole purpose. There are two main reasons for using stabilizers: (1) minimize any hand torque created from holding the bow and (2) control your aiming pattern
In my opinion, i think there should be two classes of olympic archery, one for the sight/target recurve, and one for traditional/barebow. Just seems that most people learn the sight/recurve, and not that much people shoot traditional. I learned that way and then switched to traditional but I guess it's just people's opinions. Imagine what would happen if we had guys showing up at these shoots with longbows...:)

shifting bow's center of mass forward so it doesn't move upwards when at full draw, it's kinda like your second point but more accurate

is this even archery anymore. they have a spotter, and sights? why not use traditional recurves?
