Clemps takes a look at an old PSP classic, Crisis Core. Part of the Final Fantasy 7 Compilation. Who remembers Advent Children? Remember that part where Vincent was jumping around like a Looney Toon whilst fighting Kadaj and gang? What was up with that?

I'm glad I played Crisis Core as a kid because hearing "Activating Combat Mode" a million times makes me nostalgic now instead of annoyed.
that sure triggered memories I thought I'd forgotten
so does "Modulating Phase"
I agree with this 100%. I played it when I was 12
I've played the remaster on PS5 and it kinda became background noise. It was weird at first but eventually stopped questioning it and somehow stopped noticing it.
Genesis’s motivation is basically “yo I think ‘Romeo & Juliet’ is secretly a treasure map”
You forgot the part when he went around Midgar, Junon, and Costa Del Sol giving everyone Genesis AIDS
I mean he wasn't exactly wrong though xD
@@Kurasai56 The main thing that bothered me is that Loveless itself is never explained. Was it a Cetra record of the Minerva materia that somehow became a play? It would be amazing if the Remake series covers this; make it a side mission where you learn more about Loveless and Genesis..
in the fourth grade i would wear a black t shirt with black jeans and constantly did squats. i love Zack Fair and i thank him for my strong legs, they are your legacy.
LMFAO
I concur, LMAOOO
Lol yeah my fat ass got excited by the game and did 100 squats without warming up or anything cause I was like I'll be the female Zack only to end up sore and unable to walk to school the next day
It SEEMS like leveling in the slot machine is random, but it's actually tied to a hidden EXP counter. Clembs, you goof.
Yep. And the DMW on a whole was meant to replicate a soldier's feelings and luck on the battlefield, as I recall from interviews at the time.
@@SuzakuX Yeah I think it represents your feelings towards the people you care about and how these feelings influences you (or in this case your fighting/survival). Hence why in the final fight, they all fade (oops)
Literally came here to say this, lol.
It's fun watching someone do the no level-up trick long enough to gain a shit-load of EXP, then watch them get anywhere up to 99 7-7-7's in a VERY short period of time.
Crisis core was a damn good game, and i really liked the story beats that fleshed the characters out, especially between tifa and cloud and zack and aerith. before that zack was a non entity and this game gave him one of the best characters in the FF universe
@@frogglen6350 that's just like, your opinion man
It was an alright game. You're just basically described 2/5 parts of the game that was good while the rest were straight garbage especially with the whole Genesis/Angeal crap plot.
Zack was non entity before? If you actually played FFVII in its entirety, you know that's false when most of the stuffs in Crisis Core was nothing but reimagined scenes that already happened in the original.
@@zeroskaterz92 he was barely in the original besides him getting killed and some small bits
@@MrInuhanyou123 I wouldn't say "small bits" when it's crucial to the plot itself. The fact that you play as Cloud but not really as himself, more like a personification of Zack throughout the entire game until the plot revealed that Cloud was imitating Zack's personality and memories.
Crisis Core just reused a lot of things from the original and swapped Cloud with Zack.
@@zeroskaterz92 Not really Zack and Cloud have two completely different fighting styles and gameplay. Plus Zack is the original and inspired Cloud into the person he is today.
Seph: So, uuh, why am I a boss fight, after they deal with the beast attacking the town?
Tech: Ya'know! Its a great way to test recruits!
Seph: . . . it implies that i summoned to beast to attack the town. I mean who do you think I am?
That's like saying I'll burn down a random town, after learning something tragic about my past. I mean come on man.
Give me some credit Ted.
This game is like a puppy that randomly shits itself around the house. Like, on one hand he's a good boi that's adorable and you love him so much for trying so hard............. but he still has a case of the screaming shits.
Spoilers! Dr. Clemps is gonna use Dark Clemps cells to birth a Clemphiroth, he just needs to figure out how to workout the whole impregnating a woman part...
but for that he needs your credit card number, the expiration date and the three digit code
Duh, he does it with Luclempcia.
You use a turkey baster or something, right?
gg
@@snailvomit3477 That sounds about right.
_"Okay so, if Cloud got the Buster Sword from Zack, then where did Zack get it? Why was Zack such a giant badass?"_
Oh well ya see Zack got his Buster Sword and all his kickass SOLDIER skills from his big brother Zack who was basically just Zack except bigger and cooler and tougher and stronger and faster and better and he got all the puss
_"Okay, well, why and when exactly did Sephiroth go nuts? Why was HE such a giant badass?"_
Oh well ya see Sephiroth got his crazy and all his kickass SOLDIER skills from his big brother Sephiroth who was basically just Sephiroth except ginger and bigger and cooler and tougher and stronger and faster and better and Gacht and he got all the puss, also he read poetry
_"What's up with this Hollander guy? Why is he such a bitch?"_
Oh well ya see Hollander got his jealously and all his kickass SCIENCE skills from his big brother Hollander who was basically just Hollander except bigger and cooler and tougher and stronger and faster and better and he got all the Lucrecia puss, thereby cucking Vincent
This is so real, it hurts
Basically... Genesis and Angeal were pointless addition.
Fun fact, Angeal was actually based on the earliest unused concept art of Cloud.
Is this a Best Guy Ever quote?
@@Asdayasman You're thinking of the right video, but it was actually Endless Jess who said it, and I extrapolated the point to Hollander.
Zack is best FF boy
Too bad my only knowledge of him comes from Kingdom Hearts and the original FF7..........
Hopefully Square can remake this one day.
@@BobbyTheGamerOfJUSTICE I mean, you can watch the whole game (th-cam.com/video/JlYMpU8DSqU/w-d-xo.html). Or emulate it. I personally don't think it's that fun to play, but the emotional moments are really good, so I'd just watch it for those.
@@mastermarkus5307 The FFVII remake may give it more light.
@@BobbyTheGamerOfJUSTICE have you got a smart phone? If yes then you can play Crisis Core
His now a man you are the boy
Zack is a good bean.
That girl...she said that the sky frightened her.
That looks so...liberating.
*[Gross Sobbing]*
Rohan Kishibe and 『Heaven's Door』 i didnt ask for these feelings
I thought that whole bit with Aerith thinking the sky was scary was kind of dumb, but I still got sad at the end because IT'S JUST SO GOOD. By the end of this video I was like "I have to watch the death scenes again" because they make me sad, but it's the weirdly nice kind of sad.
Yea 16 year old me cried manly tears the day i beat this game...
ACTIVATING COMBAT MODE
Ahh fuck....the memories...
Cloud from Super Smash Brothers? I clapped when I saw it!
I'm just so glad that everyone agrees that Zack is the most precious baby boy to ever grace our lives. Like gdi I love him, he makes the entire game for me.
Gackt playing Genesis is the original Ed Sheeran cameo, both times I didn't know who they were nor cared afterwards. Genesis was an ok character and giving Sephirot friends was a good move in my opinion.
I think Genesis kind of messes with the story, especially at Nibelheim, but I had the same reaction. I didn't know who Gackt was, though I think I heard him mentioned before and got him mixed up with Gack.
I think they wove Genesis in pretty well without actually changing the plot of FFVII or Sephiroth's motivations, all things considered, and it was, IMO, important to give Zack an overarching villain that could be fought and defeated within the scope of the game. There was probably a more cohesive and sensible way to intertwine the plots of BC, CC, and DC through Shinra's Deepground experiments and Genesis's SOLDIER rebellion, but that's the problem with them working on a bunch of different projects at different stages of development with vastly different release windows over the course of several years.
@@SuzakuX I think that Deepground and by extension, the story of Dirge of Cerberus was a bad addition altogether and I wouldn't miss them if they're left out of the Remake's universe along with Advent Children.
Like I said, I didn't like Genesis showing up at Nibelheim, as I feel like him exposition-dumping Sephiroth's backstory is a lot less effective than Sephiroth reading about it in isolation and understandably misinterpreting his origins.
Otherwise, I totally understand giving Zack an overarching antagonist to propel the game's story rather than it just being a series of office politics and minor skirmishes, but I think that Genesis was a bland character whose story and motivation just kind of felt like "knock-off Sephiroth" + bad poetry. Basically, he was serviceable, but he could've been a lot better as he fails to live up to new characters like Angeal (who I have my own issues with - namely carrying around a sword he doesn't use - but think was a good addition to stabilize Zack near the beginning of the story) and characters we get to see from a new perspective, like early Sephiroth, Tseng, and Cloud.
I liked this game a lot back in the day. Entirely due to Zack, everyone needs a positive sometimes lol
One trick I learned while playing the game is that you can avoid combat encounters by staying close to the wall, it really helped me avoid some difficult/annoying encounters.
Angeal carries around the buster sword but mostly uses standard issue swords because he doesn't want to damage the sword, you can see this in the fight between him sephiroth and genesis. It's one of those things that the narrative considers more so than the gameplay as zack is said to apparently do this as well, but this being a psp game means he never actually does
To add to this, Zack's DMW ability with Angeal is a hand to hand one, suggesting Angeal primarily fought with his fists unless he absolutely had to break out the big gun (in this case, his sword).
The narrative was really clear about this. I always thought it was stupid because WHY would you carry a hunk of metal on your back for nothing but SYMBOLISM? He's just ASKING for back problems.
Master Markus well, your sort of stuck with the designs and what not because they all ready exist and weren't created for this context
@@squidlump Huh? I mean, they could've WRITTEN it differently where he USED the Buster Sword and it would immediately be less stupid. It's not like anyone else in the series gets caught up in how much wear their swords receive, so you could easily just ignore that fact.
Master Markus because they did it for narrative purposes and the realistic effects of a sword that big aren't necessarily.
Zack should've been Cloud's Echo Fighter in Ultimate *don't @ me*
I think that can happen.
Well considering Zack came first wouldn't that make Cloud the Echo Fighter
o shit u rite
@@RooftopSwordMaster I guess I'm the only one hoping for sora
I would love to have him in ultimate but it will never happen
*Activating combat mode!*

Rinse and repeat.
God I love this game. Weirdly enough it was my introduction to the franchise when i was a wee lad, and I must have beaten it at least 10 times. Holds a very special place in my heart
Gotta say Crisis core was one of my first psp games and stayed my favourite for the entire PSP life cycle.
Sleepyknight Pff, niggas who never owned Wipeout Pure be like:
"Genesis, who's apparently really angry at Hollander for spilling a bag of flour over his head."
That was my same exact thought when first viewing that scene. It just looks so silly.
I'd give Lazard a smooch on the cheek every day even if I DIDN'T get a promotion.
I played Crisis Core after I played FFXV and I want to know how many people think he looks like proto-Ignis. Because that is ALL I saw.
I can't see the name "Lazard" without thinking of Lezard Valeth from Valkyrie Profile.
@@JackgarPrime I can't see the name "Lazard" without thinking of Koopa from the Super Mario Bros movie
Activating Fullscreen Mode
It's comments like these I love
you crazy? i love the ACTIVATING COMBAT MODE thingy!
Time to listen to Price of Freedom and drown in feels, again.
Okay, the FFVII timeline is full on nonsense but I wish to see more of this nonsense. I enjoyed the hell out of Crisis Core though I didn't understand much of it for two reasons: 1 it was really long and slow and the time between major plot point was too distant, 2 I played it before playing FFVII... I know, I know. But I just had to. I knew a lot about FFVII but not enough. This also led me to a big surprise, I didn't know that Zack was dead during the story of VII so I didn't know that he was inevitably going to die at the end of this game. I cried like a baby.
Bears mentioning that the FFVII timeline is actually pretty well constructed and consistent.
Back when the original FFVII demo video was first revealed in Japan, the opening cutscene for the game actually started with a timeline showing the history of Gaia, Shinra, and SOLDIER while panning through the stars before fading to Aerith. The timeline trailer was later included as a feature in the bonus fourth disc of FFVII International, which was a sort of setting guide and database.
It's that timeline that the Compilation titles were based around, complete with the weird notation ("[nu] era - 2000" and "[mu] era - 0000"). It even specifically mentioned a six years long conflict between the Turks and Avalanche leading up to a major battle between the two groups shortly before the start of the game, which became the plot of Before Crisis.
To be honest, the end of Crisis Core is heart breaking even when you know that Zack is dead in FF7. Really liked how they make you think you get a say in wether he lives or not, but then you just keep fighting forever till the game sends you the last 3 soldier with rockets that instant kill you.
Yep I remember this game. I cried because of this game.
I know. Even looking back on it now as a 24 year old man some of these scenes still make me tear up.
These smash bros cameos are annoying. Last week I played a platformer where the protagonist, the antagonist and the damsel in distress were all from smash Bros. That's ridiculous!
Playing Crisis Core is like digging through trash and occasionally finding diamonds. The good parts are really good and the bad parts make you question your existence, really good game regardless.
The game is pretty mediocre with a few stirring moments here and there...for the first two-thirds. As soon as Sephiroth tells you, "We're to inspect the Mako reactor at Nibelheim," the game instantly jumps to a 10/10 and stays there until that legendary final cutscene.
@@Zelkiiro IMO the worst part of the game is after Nibelheim when you have to carry Cloud all the way to the mansion, its so damn slow and there are so many damn Bombs
I only discovered your channel recently, but I really like how you make videos. The humorous bits are spot-on, and you still give a balance view on the game without exaggerating too much one way or the other. Can't wait for part 2!
lizard and angeal are basically store brand ignis and gladio.
OMG...when you were talking about Angeal's death and Zack's reaction I couldn't help but tear up😢 This game pulled on my Heartstrings hard😭😢
Too bad will never get an HD console remake of this masterpiece.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

ACTIVATING COMBAT MODE
Lmao
Coming back to this after the Reunion announcement and it's still an amazing video! Crisis Core is the game that got me into JRPGs so seeing your take on it is amazing
After Clemps mentioned his editing style to Pat on the last podcast, I can’t stop noticing the cuts after pauses in sentences.
Uzumakihero You bastard.
OH, THAT'S WHERE I HEARD OF CLEMPS. See, I was just on the newest TBFP video and I was like "Fuck, I should probably check this out because I like Crisis Core".
sildrex same. I really am a fan of Clemps work and it is thanks to the Super Bestfriend
Lazard out here looking like Ignis' twin brother.
I'm SUPER EXTRA okay with that.
Also, Zack was such a sweetheart in this game. I loved him so much.
most underrated ff game and literally the only game that made me cry as well as one of the few games with a soundtrack i can listen to on the regular
Cloud from Super Smash Brothers? In MY ff7 prequel? It's more likely than you think
This is one of my favorite games glad to see you cover!
I have been watching gameplays and game reviewers for years on youtube. It is rare I find someone like you with talent, organization and humor all in one. Keep it up good sir!
I really love this game, it made me fall in love with Zack. There is still some problems, like Genisis is just not that interesting of a villain and his poetry is annoying, they could've had more scenes with Zack and Cloud, like they had a couple scenes together and considering how important the relationship was in the main game, the very few scenes didn't really show how close they were. The annoying computer voice. But the good stuff outweigh it, like expanding on Sephiroth's personality and his eventual fall, just all the expansion on Zack as a character and the amazing soundtrack. And God the ending made me cry.
Let's all be real:
When/if playing the call of duty advanced warfare campaign, we couldn't see see the main antagonist for anything but Kevin Spacey
Bro, I'd be more than happy to pay for part 1 and 2. Especially with the quality you put out. Much love my man.
Crisis core is in my top 3 favorite games of all time! Thank you for doing it justice.
Oh thank God this came out when I was bored and had nothing to watch
I remember playing this one without any experience at all with FF except for the movies. Was easy to understand what was happening, but I completely forgot everything but the fact that smashing spells together was fun and made all the bosses a cakewalk.
Thanks for your work, Clemps, xoxo.
I keep coming back to this review, it's mad fun and it always makes me smile. So well done!
The main thing that makes your reviews so amazing Clemps are your well timed and clever use of silly sound effects. They make me laugh! Great write up as well. Crisis core is one of those games where despite the obvious shortcomings, the entire experience is magical and at the end leaves you thinking about that quite a bit.
As soon as that music started at the beginning of the vid, I was already crying inside. God I love this game even though I've never even played FF7. Totally haven't also got the entirety of Loveless burnt into my brain from one of my friends constantly saying it out at random times just to get on my nerves lol.
EDIT: and yeah that is mostly nostalgia talking, I know there's some eeeeh design choices *especially as I'm unlucky as fukkk*
"The price of freedom is steep" Zack Fair - Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core
Aerith's final words- "I'll be here"
And that ending song "Why" ahhh man 16 year old me shed some tears that day, manly tears of sadness
Dear Clemps,
You make me not feel suicidal.
Thank you.
Valeria T Hang in there Valeria, it gets better. :):):)
I haven't even started the video yet I just wanna say: THANKS SO MUCH CLEMPS THIS IS MY FAVORITE FINAL FANTASY AND I'LL LOVE SEEING YOUR TAKE ON IT. XOXO
You have a unique style to the vids you create and it shows by your growing subscriber base and like to dislike ratio! Humor with substance. Thanks for the awesome vids Clemps!
Really great work Clempsy boy!
I really enjoyed the little RLM clips you used in this one, verrrrrrry coooooool!
GODDD I relate to to so much of what you said in this video. Only difference is that despite VII actually being my favorite FF, I'm not a big fan of this game at all. The corny ass dialogue being one the absolute biggest reasons why.
Talk about best girl kunsel!
Really nice review! This was the first Final Fantasy game I've ever played, and I loved it. I still have it, along with my PSP. I was sent here by Red Bard, and now I'm subbed. 👍😁
Thank you.....It's....it's perfect. In all seriousness, I'm SUPER glad you decided to review crisis core...I love this game so much, and the way you pull it apart and look at is is just amazing, plus the jokes here and there keep it's funny and fresh, super had I found this channel!
I didn't want the video to end... Can't wait for part two. Also, why doesn't Clemps have millions of subs? All of his videos are top notch. 👌
Is it called 'shock value' if I'm always caught surprise by the random-kinda-relevant but hilarious Clemp edits? I swear those edits are one of my main reasons for subscribing to Clemps. Old man Clemps got me dead XD, and dammit i waited about 15 mins for the slot joke to come sliding in, 'in a few minutes', my assssss
No joke tho Cloud in Crisis Core is a serious cutie I can't. I just have very strong feelings about him *ONLY* in Crisis Core.
CAn't wait for the continuatuation of this
Quake was the great destroyer on anything on the ground for me.
I never really figured Sephiroth to be the type of guy who would ever be able to correctly empathize with others quite like regular people do. I mean, I suppose its reasonable that he would at least try to be someones friend, even in the original game he's always been capable of admiring people like Professor Ghast. It's just that in FF7 I kind of imagined him as someone who's always perceived himself as an outsider, due to his life of being Shinra and Hojo's puppet and plaything, so its kind of weird to see him acting with decent social skills in this game.
I think he's really cold in the game still, so I wouldn't call it "decent social skills" so much as "he has been around people by this point".
@@mastermarkus5307 Nice, that's how it's ought to be. Better remember that in the Re-Remake, I don't want to see my Oedipus Vader boi turn into a bishonen Bleach villain...well, he kind of already was that, but you know...I hope that isn't ALL he is...you know what I mean.
@@charliec.1347 I think I know what you mean. Sephiroth had an issue with depiction outside of the original and this game, mainly in that he was basically one-dimensional fanservice.
If I'm reading you correctly, I think we both don't want an _Advent Children_ style debacle. I have that thought about my boy Reno. I want him to be cool again, like he was in the original, not the goofiest comic relief. (He did look pretty cute though, I'll give AC that.)
@@mastermarkus5307 Coming from someone who's hoping for the best but expecting the worst, I'm pretty confident in guessing that Squeenix aren't planning to go full AC with the remake. They've stated multiple times that they want a reasonable amount of levity closer to the original. Besides, as much crap as I will the pre 2018-announcement remake, I have to hand it to them that the footage they did show was pretty accurate to the original's tone and characterization. Cloud didn't seem like an emo, just a cocky guy who "doesn't care about your politics", heck they even un-localized Barret back to how he was before the translator turned him into Mr. T (I will miss him a bit tho, not going to lie). Honestly though, all bets are off for the time being until we get more info on the new Remake. For all I know, its going to be an episodic waifu gacha game or something even worse.
Aaah, Tetsuya Nomura. One of the rare instances where despite the character designer's portfolio of sexy female designs, they're still primarily known for making absurdly attractive dudes.
@@charliec.1347 I was personally never a fan of ebonics Barrett. It felt kind of like they made him into the 90s token black guy, which really doesn't hold up. I've played the game with other translations and I think he has a lot more heart when he's portrayed overall as a fairly normal, pretty nice guy.
I think Nomura makes some good-looking guys and girls, but some time around FF X he apparently went insane and many characters weren't allowed to have a normal outfit / hairstyle.
Man, I want some new Remake news so bad. I'm really excited for Kingdom Hearts 3 to come out: not because I actually want that game (I fundamentally dislike the KH series), but because after that comes out we'll probably finally start getting / hearing about some progress. I'm a bit nervous about the game being split up into parts. I get adding more to the game than the original had, on account of the changing standards and all, but I don't want it to be a rip-off or anything, y'know?
Dude your editing is an absolute delight and I love it so much! I'm dying over here!!
It's fun seeing familiar names in the Patreon credits.
I saw Super Eyepatch Wolf and Foxcade and thought "time to watch all their videos again" lol
I love how Clemps' editing style feels unique. The set up and punchline being very dumb and goofy, but the effort in the effects and quick gags feeling very snappy and witty in the oddest way. gg.
Also: "Just be patient" (distant wet noises)
Every time I wonder "where is Clemps" then a video comes out and I realize you keep trapping yourself in purgatory with all this editing work. Thank you for suffering for our pleasure. May you find peace in the fields of valhalla, with muscle gyarus and leather daddies for all eternity. Now back to work!
Great job, Mr. Clemps! I'll be sure to watch part 2 when it is ready!
God yes thank you clemps! You just made my whole day so much better I’ve been looking forward to this for a while!
I remember when the psp 2000 models came out and I got a crisis core edition silver psp slim and that game was played SO MUCH. Really underrated game tbh.
Great Video Clemps!!! Another great one, I have always wanted to play this game but did not think I would like it, but now I want to buy it to experience this.
Can't wait for part 2. This game's ending is the only one that's almost made me cry, it's fantastic. Can't wait to hear your review 🙂
A fun fact about me: Crisis Core was my very first ever FF game. I had no experience with or knowledge of the series whatsoever. Obvious things to the passing final fantasy fan were astounding surprises to me. Sephiroth going bad? Blew my mind. The Vincent easter egg? Total mystery for me. Zack dying? My freshman self cried for 20 minutes that night before robot chicken came on to lift my spirits.
This is my favorite Final Fantasy game bar none....except 10.
And now it's revealed, Crisis Core gets a remake. ❤️
A FF 7 remake ad appeared during the video. Nice ☺️
I knew I'd love this video, but my weenus got extra hard when you talked about Takeharu Ishimoto's unbelievably good OST for this game. Nobody seems to give him the credit he deserves for being an outstanding composer, even by Square Enix standards. He's easily my third favourite composer the company has utilized, after Keiichi Okabe and the inimitable Nobuo Uematsu.
Yay, new Clemps! Love you!!! Keep making amazing content you dapper sir!
I knew a guy who played/viewed every single part of the ff7 series EXCEPT the original game. Crisis Core was his first exposure. He never shut up about how "the buster sword is Zack's, not Clouds" even tho it is technically Angeal's by that logic.
His reasoning for never playing ff7? The matte-painting backgrounds annoyed him. Dude was bordering on psychopathic sometimes, I swear.
Remember when Cloud was a child soldier?
Thanks Clemps, you made me check if my PSP still worked and could read discs and I had the charger still and making me interested in picking up Crisis core for 10€.
I actually love the "Activating Combat Mode" and "Modulating Phase" shenaningans
I loved this game so much, I really hope you talk about the ending scene with the roulette wheel. The game helped alot with any time away from home and the slower action of the game made it great for long car rides. Can't wait for part 2, maybe a part 3 but either way super looking forward to the next part.
Wow you made me laugh a lot in this. Thanks! Subbed.
The time from you saying you were working on this, to the time when it inevitably concludes, is the longest build up to a cry I've ever had.
I don’t know why I wanted to watch this tonight, but it was nostalgic, funny, and you played First Layer, one of my favorite songs off the Made in Abyss OST. That is my jam
Watching this in 2021 where the new FF7:RI trailer has dropped and Gensis is the surprise at the end. Somebody decided to pay Gackt again.
This review is great! Though I would like to point out that Aerith being 15 isn't actually a problem considering Zack is around 16 at that time.
Posit: not to diss on Angeal, but would the story have been better if Sephiroth was in the role of Zach's mentor? It would've added more dramatic tension, and made the plot of 7 retroactively more tragic to see Sephiroth back when he was a nice guy with a student he cared about.
Please don't forget to mention for Part 2 that there is one fight that never gives you "Conflict Resolved".
And while this may be overlooked quickly, it's such an amazing detail.
A CLEMPS VIDEO. -sips tea-. Let's watch.
I think that the Buster Sword being based down from Angeal to Zack and then to Cloud to be acceptable. Angeal's sense of honor was morally questionable, while Zack through his own struggles defined honor by defending those you care for no matter what.
So glad we finally got a re-release but unfortunately it cost us Rick Gomez and George Newbern I feel like I've just obtained the soul stone on Vormir 😅
Awesome video Clemps!!!! It was really good.
I have a lot of love for this game. Excellent work as always Clemps.
Thank you for making videos, i really do enjoy them.
Very fond memories of this game when I was without power for 13 days after hurricane Ike. This shit is what got me through it. God, that mission list...
I actually like Genesis and thought he was an interesting character. Never played 7 but knew enough about it that CC wasn't confusing.
Great video as always clemps. You are my favourite youtuber - by far
