I was there. I was 15 and only had my learner’s permit. But I heard the announcement on KROQ that morning, and took my older brother’s car over sepulveda pass to see it. SO worth the risk!

I saw them 33x from 1980 to 1996, they were my favorite live band of all time!! What I wouldn't give to see them 1 more time, I'd take my daughters who are Boingo fan too!!
OMG! I was at this at the Country Club - a practice gig for Universal Amphitheater. Danny was on Jed the Fish's show on KROQ and announced that "Clowns of Death" would be playing and a buddy called me asking if we should score some tixs. $12!!!!! We were 15" from the stage. Good times.
At least that is a venue with a GIANT stage for all 14 or so of them. Magic mountain was another big stage that they played frequently. BAR..............TEK!!!!!!!!
@@Somethingisntright64I saw lots of shows at Magic Mountain, it was a great place!! Great sound, intimate setting. I miss it!! Saw these guys, the Tubes, Missing Persons, Devo, Thomas Dolby, Sparks, and several others lost in the mist.

The (amazing) frenetic pace of this gig is the flippin BEST. Was it the venue?
🔥🔥🔥
I am guessing this was from a show at the Country Club?
That's right.
the building is still there. it is a church now. EVERYONE played there back in the day. ...if only those walls could talk.
Yikes, sounds like a mix from the sound board.
I'll take janky soundboard mixes of Boingo bootlegs over no Boingo bootlegs.
vatos looks too gay i love
