@hiokinskywalker They are tanuki. Everyone translates tanuki as "raccoon dogs" and they are called "raccoon dogs" in English. Biologically they are neither raccoons nor dogs. So I just call them "tanuki." Tanuki are not indigenous to English speaking countries, so I prefer to let them keep their Japanese name.
