What a super piece of film! As a UK Amtrak enthusiast and thus unable to get to the US I love to see these videos on you tube. Presumably the Electric loco which conked out is a replacement for the AEM7 Toasters then? Also the two Genesis, are they not fitted for multiple working? I would have thought the driver at the leading end could have controlled them going backwards. It looked to me like the driver had to control the reverse from the engine on the back? Is it just me not used to American practice?? The bells noise was horrendous! does that happen with every train movement in the U.S?
Yes the electric manufactured by siemens is the aem-7 replacement. Genesis are capable of being mu'd so only the lead loco needed crew. On us engines the bell is used often when entering/departing a station.

Why did Amtrak P42DC 175 break down? Also why does Amtrak ACS-64 662 still have its 50th Anniversary logoing? Will it still have its 50th Anniversary logoing until May 1st 2023?
Too many e-bells for my ears! BTW, love the P42s with the original steel nose and headlight glazing. If 110 would have had the steel bell, like the one on the lead P42, it would have been 100% original!

@@mikeytrains1 1. The trucks on the p42 are made by siemens. 2. Locomotives break down, even p42s. 3. The acs 64 is almost twice as powerful as the p42 and has been very reliable.
Septa5401luvrfan Productions Well maybe they're your favorites, but the AEM7s will ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart! ACS64s are more crappy designs based off of European designs. I will never love them for how reliable they may be, but this instance where 662 failed proves my point.
