FlySpoke Tying A Same Thing Murray Atlantic Salmon Fly

Doug Hastings created this fly and fished it on the Lil' Sou West Miramichi River in New Brunswick. On one of it's first outings the fly was proving very successful and Doug's friend Murray would ask what fly he was using. Doug would reply, "Same Thing Murray.
The fly is not used as much as it deserves. My angling buddies and I have been successful in Quebec, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia mostly in medium to small sizes.

Never tried it but it sure looks like a winner. Looking through a few web sites I was able to find an original tie by Larry Tracey the creator. I did think it had the right colors for the tannin waters of New Brunswick.

Yes it is allot of people's go to fly on the Miramichi . It seems to work well all year round as well
