You should fill the mud pit if it’s raining because you won’t need to water it. I guess your water is close anyway but it’s still nice to let the rain do it.
Really enjoying this series I haven’t built here yet but may since they did the recent build on water update. I’ve predators and tribesmen turned off for now so it’s more enjoyable. Loving this diff series of diff ideas locations and how to build etc
Even without the larger trap there are so many small game right at your base you'll have all the protein you'll need. Just place a couple of large stick traps for fish and a few deadfall traps for toads and mice. Then plant a banana tree and an unknown nut plant or two for the rest of your nutrients. I think prawn make for great fish bait.

Fantastic as always. This game has now made my radar, I always liked the idea of The Island just without the Silent Hill style amalgamations.

If that's your base you should build your storage around the Anaconda and "hide" it.
I’m surprised you chose that spot. I’ve built a base there, it doesn’t have birds but it has MICE 🐁

It has birds and mice and toads... they may drive me mad with their sounds.

How to unlock all storage stands ? Thx
I've found that once you pick up an item (for example, a bamboo stick) it will unlock the blueprint for that item's storage.
