  • I put the mic on jordan haha and I dont think he realized that he was the ONLY one with a mic on..so it might be silent for the first few minutes, as he's used to candice doing all the talking

Jordan you made that look so simple, but obviously is based on your years of experience and all the work you did with her beforehand. Beautiful to watch - thank you. xx

Still wondering about your gallbladder surgery 🤔 did you ever get it? I know this has nothing to do with this video but hope your feeling better and you had it out. I remember how awful I felt before my surgery.

It's so nice to point them to the door and they just step in. This takes patience. I purchased a young filly several years back and she loaded beautifully. After six hours on trailer, she was terrified and would not unload. The previous owner had failed to actually pull the trailer while horse was in it, so she had no idea how to ride in a trailer. She had to learn to ride quietly and unload. She rides like a rock now. No excessive weight shifting, no kicking, or fretting in the trailer. She had to learned that the trailer was a safe place and would bring her back home to the herd. So don't forget it's not just about loading and unloading, the horse must also learn to haul quietly and not get stressed out about it.

my brother always took back roads whenever possible, less traveled scenic rural routes in north texas, when a smooth paved road was always an option. When his wife bought a beautiful, large quarter horse mare they bought an old trailer; and i told him to replace the floorboards - he didn't and they horse fell through, however she wasn't injured. At first she loaded easily, however, after my brother hauled her 40 miles over rough back roads, too fast, braking too hard, she refused to go into a trailer at all. It took all of my considerable experience, patience and old tricks to get the poor creature into a trailer when they moved to Arizona. Some people do not deserve their animals.

I don't know how many times I've seen owners teach horses how to get into the trailer but never "teach" them to back out. Usually it is just a rush job and the horse kind of stumbles out. Right here you see that horse learn the meaning of the words as well. Very nice job and beautiful horse too.

I remember reading somewhere that you just” rub the hair off of them” meaning you don’t slap and you don’t even have to scratch. I noticed you do that a lot. It’s so good for the horse. Thank you.

We teach them step when it's time to step off backwards helps them be prepared for the step. You did the same thing just used a different word lol
