The dirt you're picking up in fleurs d'oranger is just enough that doesn't make it too much. As you know I couldn't be without it. So long lasting and I get compliments from it. Kate moss vibes all the way ❤️
Hera is sooo beautiful. And it lasts for-EVAH. 😎 I think the dirtiness you're picking up in Fleurs d'Oranger is the cumin...count me in the group that definitely picks up the "burger pits" note, but you know we Americans are much more delicate in that regard. 🤣🤣 I'm glad it works for you and others! Great video, Claire.
Orange Blossom is generally not a note i seem to bond with too easily, though the surprising ones in my collection are Love Don't Be Shy and Wind Flowers (i know that one didn't win you over 🤣). . I also love L' Couture from Elie Saab. That one is Orange Blossom and green Almond, and it's so pleasant. Shame it was discontinued. And of course Hera is very beautiful composition from Papillon. 👍 Lovely video claire xxx
Oh you bought Wind Flowers? Each to their own! 🤣🤣 only kidding I retried it the other day and was much better than I remembered. Elie Saab make excellent orange blossom fumes, not sure if I tried that one though. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for this, as it seems I can't get enough of orange blossom lately! Serge Lutens Fleurs d'Oranger is a favorite. I also really enjoy Elie Saab Le Parfum in White (more subdued but gorgeous) and Nobile 1942 Perdizione (very tangy orange blossom to my nose). And while I find Love Don't Be Shy a bit too sweet, my absolute favorite is Guerlain's Le Plus Beau Jour de Ma Vie, which is quite similar but impossible to find these days.
Great to see you do a whole video on orange blossom Claire. I must get some Zoologist samples. T Rex is the only one I’ve tried so far. That bottle of Hera’s been getting some action x
Great choices! I just tried Papillon Hera, and it is a very complex fragrance, I will have to wear it again to see if I get the orange blossom, but it is a gorgeous fragrance. One of my favorites orange blossoms is love by Killian I know it’s hyped but I just love it!!🍊🧡🥰
Great list. I would love to smell Bodhi. Hera is a total masterpiece, but it’s interesting, for me the oakmoss and the waxy iris are the most prominent notes even over the white florals. Have you ever tried Safanad from Parfums de Marly? It’s a sweet orange blossom vanilla bomb, I really love it when I am in the mood for that and want to smell “pretty”
That’s interesting, Hera seems to be different to lots of different noses from the reviews I’ve read. I’m not sure if I’ve tried Safanad, possibly in a shop once but I’ll try and test it again.
@@Smurfygurly I think you may really like Safanad. To me it’s very natural smelling OB + vanilla all the way. I tried Hera again today and checked fragrantica. I think it may be the narcissus (second most cited note) what I smell that makes this so green and oakmoss/chypre to me. Apparently narcissus has an incredibly complex olfactive profile with > 90 different isolates that can make it green, woody, animalic, floral opulent, floral green or even have tobacco nuances 😳Fascinating! I didn’t have any prior narcissus perfume reference.
I find the orange blossom note in the top of Hera fleeting and think of it more of an iris and Jasmine fragrance, but regardless it is beautiful! - Jenn
Enjoyed this content, thank you! My favorite orange blossom right now is Memo Sintra; working my way through a large decant. But nothing beats the actual blooming trees in our AZ backyard. Spring is quite a heady experience 🍊🐝🍊🐝
Oh I absolutely love real orange blossom, I remember being in Croatia in spring and there were so many trees full of blossom, the experience was heavenly! Where is AZ? 🌼🌼🌼
I like orange blossom as a floral note in Spring and Summer perfume. I tested Orianna but was disappointed with the performance for the high price. Instead I went with Memo Sintra because I like the neroli note which adds a green quality and make the fragrance more interesting. I have seen a lot of people don't like it for that reason when they compare it to Orianna and LDBS. It it very long lasting and quite powerful in how it projects. Thanks for another great video! - Jenn
Oh I looove orange blossom during this time of the year ☀️ I'm going to buy Fleur d'oranger by Fragonard. I also found Nerolia Bianca by Guerlain in my sample box but unfortunately it's been discontinued 😭 Do you think Nerolia Vetiver has the same vibe? I mean like cotton clean, summer on the mountains clean? Thank you! 😄👋👋👋
Do you know what, after I’d uploaded this video I did pick up the cumin but only slightly and not for long. It’s been out a long time so it’s possible they reduced it a bit.
Hi Claire. I'm curious if you're interested in buying any of your samples? I love videos done on specific notes. Ylang ylang is my request. Or any tropical note. Ty 💙🌈🧚♀️✨
@@Smurfygurly no what I meant was, are you liking the serge lutens, fleur d'oranger, enough to buy a bottle, or another Dusita etc I forgot what the other sample was. Nicoli?
@@Tina-wi7we 🤣🤣 ok I see! I’d possibly buy Anamcara as I really enjoy that. The Serge Lutens is really nice but I don’t think I’d buy it. If I was earlier in my journey I’d probably buy them all but I’m very careful what I add to my collection as I already have so many beautiful fragrances that don’t get enough wear time.

It’s truly beautiful in a grounded way, you have great taste madam! 💗

Ha ha thanks Jimbo, do you say “burger pits” in the states? Any other funny terms for it? 💗

I adore LPBJDMV but decided to leave it out due to its obscurity. Will look up Perdizione.

one of my favorite notes!
I hope you enjoyed the video!
The new version of Fleur d’oranger has no cumin or much less than the older version. I love new version x
Frangipani would be a good one!!! I just wish Guerlain had gotten its act together and released Mon Guerlain l'Essence before your Frangipani feature.
Ooh... I love Bee 🐝

I haven’t tried either of the Aqua Allegorias, always been curious about Nerolia Bianca 🌼
Hera. The best 👌 👍 😍
💯
I pick up on the cumin in the Serge and it ruins it for me. Otherwise it would be perfect. I had it years ago though, so maybe it’s been reformulated?

What’s the best orange blossom scent for males
