Melissa, Thank you very much for watching our videos! We have new videos coming out shortly. Aside from running the farm, we are also healthcare providers and this has been a busy year!
Hello and thank you for watching our videos. Pine tar is a stinking, sticky, mess.... but it is very handy for one thing. You can put it near a baby’s dock and above a mom’s nose to confuse their scent when trying to graft an orphan lamb to a mom. We used to use it all the time years ago for wounds and other situations where we needed to keep the flys off and away. Since Catron spray has come along, pine tar has fallen out of favor for this use. With all this being considered, it is still useful for the above listed reasons and we keep it on hand here on our farm. Bag balm and/or uddercomfort are great to have on hand if your ewes or does are having issues with dry or cracked teats. 👍🏻
Hello. General treatment for meningeal worm aka deer worm is a hot topic due to its lethality. Cornell has had good results using a combination of safeguard, ivermectin, and dexamethasone. I have included an article for you about this here: cpb-us-e1.wpmucdn.com/blogs.cornell.edu/dist/e/7832/files/2017/11/P.-tenuis-Producer-Factsheet-2gkq1rv.pdf
Awesome video. You're the Best! Is it ok to keep meds in Barn room temp well except cD&t. Workers like lvermectin after opened? We are in Geogia gets quite hot
As a general rule of thumb, all medications should be kept at room temperature per manufacturer directions. As you stated in your comments, CD&T, penicillin, and some other vaccinations should be kept in the fridge. Freezing is just as dangerous (if not more so) than hot temps so be cautious of this as well.
Great info! Just starting out. Thanks.

Yes, the crayons are specially made to wash out.
What advice would you give me on Babydoll sheep?
Hello! This is a tough question. Send me an email at timothy.ventrello@linessafarms.com and we can talk about your plans.
I heard pine tar or bag balm. Are slaves not needed with the sprays, sprays better?
