Makes you immune to status and also grands you passive healing.
Breloom is a physical sweeper which means that a burn from will-o-wisp/scald etc can render it basically useless by dropping its attack by 50% from 372 (adamant) down to 186. You're also immune to other status conditions like paralysis, freeze and sleep.
Besides Breloom's speed, is really bad so unless you're using priority you're getting outsped by like 95% of other sweeper mons.
The most common poison heal breloom set is; Spore, Substitute, Leech Seed, Focus Punch.
Poison heal allows you a free switch -in on a toxic for example and if you're already poisoned from toxic orb to any other status move. You can force switch outs with spore and leech seed afterwards, and set-up with sub or deal a lot of damage with a F.Punch. It is a set that heavily relies on prediction but it's as good as the technician set.

Most weather setters are gonna be stronger because they usually have an ability that boosts them in the weather they set. Getting both is scary.
Alolan ninetales gets to set snow and dodges.
Pelipper has rain dish (and keen eye).
    Hippowdon hits harder in sand.
Vanille is healing in snow, and gets weak armor to be a pseudo slush rush if you play it right.
Basically every weather team but Sun is gonna be strong.

@antoinepolnareff8970 I love sun, as a fire specialist. But giving all abilities to sun setters gives you nothing synergistic. Immunity to fire on Ninetales. Torkoal's really poor stats (besides defense) can't be lowered. Groudon only has drought. Mega-Zard Y only has drought.
Hippowdon on the other hand, gets sand force, so it shows up, boosts sp. def., and gets an atk boost besides. Gigalith gets both those *and* sturdy. T-tar just makes opponents not eat berries.
Alolan ninetales gets evasion boost as well as def boost with snow warning/snow cloak. Vanilluxe gets Ice Body, healing it in snow. Abomasnow gets soundproof, which isn't fully synergistic, but makes it immune to Bug Buzz and torch song, which would have super effective against it.
Sun gets 0 mons with synergy. Sand gets 2. Ice gets 2 (and a sound immunity). Even rain gets Pelipper's rain dish synergy. Sun gets nothing.

@antoinepolnareff8970 because my comment was about the weather setters. Not about pokemon that abuse the weather. There's something like 40 chlorophyll mons. Some get leaf guard and some get harvest.
But that is gaining use *under* sun. They are not *setting* the sun. Meaning you set sun with a mon with no additional benefits. Then have to swap into something that can utilize the weather better than the one who set it. Sand, Rain, and Snow don't have that problem. Their weather setters get to abuse the weather they set up. So there are *six* mons abusing weather instead of 5 for sun.
And all protosynthesis mons only get photosynthesis, so they aren't gaining additional benefit. Orichalcum Pulse is basically 2 abilities in one (proto and drought), and it isn't getting additional boosts either.
Sand stream + Sand Force is absolutely more beneficial than leaf guard+chlorophyll. And stacking guaranteed harvest with solar power and chlorophyll is not going to make tropius good. It's still going to be leech seed/sub stalling as it sets up a solar power air slash that still won't kill anything that isn't weak to flying. And once sun wears off, it isn't strong enough to one shot things that *are* weak to flying.

    • @goshi013
      @goshi013 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@antoinepolnareff8970 Well, most of the abilities that benefit from sun are from grass types, which is bad becasue sun also boost fire type moves so
The other ability that benefits from sun is solar power, and half of the mons that have it are also grass types, the other half are fire and then the heliolisk line, which assuming it also has its other abilities, will lose twice as much hp for just the same boost

Can we talk about Yanmega, who's always been a case of wanting both abilities? Now he both gets a free speed boost after every turn, and can hit you for full damage through your resistances. You can also slap on throat spray, so he's getting a nasty plot boost after the first bug buzz. I guess he also gets frisk, so that's something.

Annihilape is already busted, but in this setup he would be immune to sleep, flinching and would still get +2 to attack whenever he gets hit by defog. He would also have items that would make him harder to deal with. with Punch Glove making contact based abilities and Rocky Helmet useless, Covert Cloak to deal with the nasty number of 30% plus status moves running around and good old Lum Berry for status effect he would still be vulnerable to. No overlap, but with a signature move that can hit for 350 Base, he really doesn't need any.

We could also talk about Sigilyph. His other abilities are completely overshadowed by Magic Guard, which together with Cosmic Power and Stored Power makes him unkillable and powerful at the same time. His other abilities actually complement that set super well: Wonder Skin makes all status moves 50% accurate, meaning even methods to prevent it from setting up like Taunt are risky. His other ability, Tinted Lens, is also perfect since he tends to only run Stored Power, so Tinted Lens pretty much makes this one attack hit hard on anything that isn't Dark type.

Kingambit would be pretty nuts tbh. Surpreme overlord combined with defiant can be fun. With pressure preventing stall.
Also, normal ursaring would be insane too with quick feet and guts. It basically turns ursaring into a speedy glass cannon.
Speaking of facade users, raticate would also rise in usage, hustle and guts is pretty insane. Albeit a bit unreliable, but it practically doubling its attack is still good.
Lastly, swellow would be pretty fun to use as well. Guts facade that hits ghost types due to scrappy surprisingly pops off.
Other pokemon with good combos but would be sunflora. Under the sun, it can surprisingly be usuable with solar power and chlorophyll. It does have a pretty respectable base 105 special. Albeit you are forced to invest in max speed to hit anything reliably. Even then, it makes sunflora into a glass cannon.
Another pokemon with that combo would be tropius. However, even with that boost, the special and speed stat is still kinda bad.

Honestly Kekleon changing type constantly could be interesting. Not enough to make it broken, but interesting enough that I could see it really messing up someone if this was prenerf Protein where they changed types with every move they used. Keckleon going from a normal type to a dark type when using sucker punch, the resisting the oncoming attack just to become that type, only to change their type again into something completely different could be a super annoying pokemon to fight with how you'd have to predict what the opponent wants to use.

    • @msgameandcake628
      @msgameandcake628 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

I think the main problem is that Color Change wouldn't actually have a benefit most of the time with Pre-nerf Protein.
If Kekleon goes second, then the opponent hits him, he changes type from Color Change, and then instantly changes type again from Protean when he attacks, resulting in the Color Change switch not doing anything.
If Kekleon goes first, then he changes from Protean, gets hit and changes from Color Change, but then he'd most likely go first again and change from Protean before the opponent even has a chance to hit his Color Change'd typing.
Priority can shake this pattern up, like Sucker Punch you mentioned, but it would probably have to be your own priority, since I'd imagine a slow opponent hitting you with a regular move wouldn't then use a priority move of their own if they just made you resistant to it, and alternatively they might've hit you with their non-priority move specifically to REMOVE your resistance to their priority move.
Even though it would be rather difficult to use Color Change to gain a resistance to actual enemy attacks in this scenario, there are a few niche situations I could see this helping. If Kekleon goes first and gets hit by an attack to end the turn with a Color Change'd type, then switches out, the Color Change typing might help provide a resistance or immunity when switching back in (assuming Color Change persists between switches?) Or maybe if the opponent had Sandstorm up and he Color Change'd to Rock, Ground, or Steel, so at the end of the turn he wouldn't take environmental damage, or some other similar type-specific end-of-turn effect.
I think the biggest issue here is the fact that first the opponent needs to hit you with a move that CAN give you a situationally beneficial end-of-turn typing, and then you still need to get lucky for Color Change to choose the CORRECT typing, since there will pretty much always be multiple types it can choose to give you after getting hit. In the previously noted Sandstorm niche moment, even if the opponent hits you with a Normal move that could Color Change you to Rock or Steel, it could still change you to Ghost instead.

Basculegion automatically getting sent to Ubers. Swift Swim + Adaptability Wave Crash in the rain is ridiculous. Assuming you’d be able to use an item, choice band makes this damage even crazier. As the cherry on top, you’d be unable to use water absorb or storm drain Pokemon because Basculegion also has Mold Breaker.
With Sableye, Prankster would play into effect. Stall makes it so it moves last in its priority bracket, so it’ll only come into effect if another Pokémon using a move with +1 priority is on the field.

A case study for this idea of yours: Flygon
On paper, Vibrava and Flygon wouldn't benefit since their only Ability is Levitate. Trapinch on the other hand has 3 abilities: Hyper Cutter, Arena Trap and (Hidden) Sheer Force.
Reason for the loss of this ability seems to be cause both Vibrava and Flygon are clearly capable of flight but are not Flying-types, so taking this idea into account, should Vibrava/Flygon be allowed to gain other abilities beside Levitate?
    My suggestions would be this:
Trapinch = Stays as it is
Vibrava = Arena Trap and Soundproof (on top of Levitate)
Flygon = Hyper Cutter and Sand Stream (on top of Levitate)

ludicolo would be pretty good. it has own temp, making it immune to confusion (and intimidate, but its a special tank, so that doesnt matter) it also has rain dish, healing it by 1/16th every turn rain is active. finally, ludicolo has swift swim, doubling its suprisingly high speed stat up to 400~ just get a pokemon like peliper with drizzle, summoning rain on switch in. peliper also has rain dish to heal it every turn, as well as being immune to accuracy lowering moves, thanks to keen eye

Well, one of Durant's abilities is Truant, so... it wouldn't be great for it. Hell, even Hustle is dangerous. You'd basically end up with an ant that doesn't move half the time, misses half the time it does get to attack, and... Well, OK, Swarm and Hustle could be pretty nice if you can deal with the accuracy, but I still feel like this mon would get worse.

Remember that Prankster only works for Status Moves... Therefore if Sabeleye had both Prankster and Stall, it's status moves will have +1 Priority and Attacking moves (like Payback) could have -1 Priority, instead.... If it got access to more moves like payback, revenge, Gyro Ball or Avalanche that got a boost if moved last or the moves that got stronger lower HP the user has (Like Flail) - Paired with Focus Sash, then it will be a force to be reckoned with, honestly... The possibilities are endless....
Simple, Unaware, Klutz Swoobat can hold a Lagging Tail and use Acrobatics as 120 Base Power move and then use Fling/Trick to make the opponent slower as well or reduce the power of their Acrobatics if they are not holding an item...

I've thought about this concept before. So Pokémon like Rotom and Flygon have both levitate and something else at once

Hey bro you do know this already exsist?
Idk if you play PokemonShowdown, but they have a catagory where pokemon get all their abilities... i thinks its called Every Ability lol.
Theres also game modes where pokemons held item is a move it can learn, and all other attacking moves get the secondary effects of the move in the item slot
For example: Item Tera Blast. Put on Roaring Moon. Now when you Terastilize all your moves take on your Tera Type and become Physical. So Draco Meteor Roaring Moon with Tera change now has a Physical Draco Meteor that matches the Tera type meaning it doesnt get weaker because of the Sp.Def drop.
Assurance in Item slot on Dragupult. Use Dragon Darts, Assurance doubles power if your opponent took damage this turn. First Dart does normal damage but the 2nd Dart does 2x damage because of Assurance.
If you havent been on PokemonShowdown you should its way better for Meta playing and testing teams

Nice video. You're right, Excadrill would be a monster with all three Abilities combined.
Funnily enough, this reminded me of Clay's Excadrill in the infamously bad BW anime - it didn't seem to have any Ability at all in Clay's battle against Ash. Ash's Roggenrola used Sandstorm (for some reason) and all it did to Excadrill was surprise it, so it obviously didn't have Sand Force or Sand Rush. BUT! Later in the same battle, Excadrill used Horn Drill against Roggenrola, and because it failed to KO Roggenrola thanks to Sturdy, it proves that Excadrill didn't have Mold Breaker either. In fact, all that Horn Drill accomplished was triggering Roggenrola's evolution (ugh) and then Boldore quickly beat Excadrill despite Excadrill previously landing like eight super-effective Drill Runs on Roggenrola.
    That battle was trash.

Stall Sableye wouldn't really change anything. Stall makes you move last in your priority bracket, it doesn't affect the priority of moves. So your Prankster-boosted status moves would still have +1 priority, they just wouldn't go before other +1 priority moves... which given Sableye's very low base speed, is basically just something like Aqua Jet from Caracosta.

Doubling the base stat isn’t the same as getting +2 to speed. Excadrill wouldn’t just go from 88 speed to 176. Just like Azumarill doesn’t go from base 50 attack to base 100 with huge power. It’s a significantly greater base stat boost.

0:54 no it would not have the base speed of 176 it'd have the base speed of 194 if both pokemon are uninvested (no EVs neutral nature) and would have the base speed of 225.3 if they were fully invested (max speed boosting nature)
Boosts do not double your base speed stat, they double your actual speed stat, therefore it'd be even faster
don't believe me? look it up on pokemon damage calculator, if you alter speeds you'll see I'm right.
8:20 also Stall doesn't work like that, Stall is basically the item Lagging Tail, it moves last in the moves priority BRACKET, which is to say, if it used a priority move and opponent used a non-prio move, Sableye would still move first (example being it clicking Recover and opposing Shuckle clicking Sticky Web, Sableye would move first, but if Sableye used Foul Play and the opposing Shuckle used Sticky Web, then would Sableye move last.)
I'm not defending Stall it's a horrible ability, but the general community doesn't understand how priority works in pokemon.
Same deal with Darmanitan as it is with Excadrill, Gorrila Tactics and Choice Scarf wouldn't buff their base stat, which would put Darmanitan-Zen with Gorrila Tactics effectively at 265 base power mon (this is going on approximation because the highest a mon's stat could be is only 255) if uninvested, and around 290 fully invested
Mons that you're overlooking because they're usually unimpressive are: Raticate (Guts+Hustle meaning a 2.25 boost to all physical moves), Alolan Persian (Technician, Rattled and Fur Coat are all insane abilities), Alolan Golem (it already wants to run both Sturdy and Galvanize + Steel type countering with Magnet Pull would make it a massive threat)... There's a bunch more but I don't feel like going through the entire dex
I'll finish it with: Alolan Muk and Passimian being beyond cursed in this because POA and Receiver would only change themselves therefore, Poison Touch, Gluttony and 3 new abilities from a fallen comrade (someone like aformentioned AloPersian, would make this Assault Vest abuser beyond disgusting and could allow it to run Poison Fang for the 50% for badly poison and 30% for regular poison on 1 move
Passimian on the other hand could combo really well with Epathra's Opportunist and Speed Boost alongside its own Defiant.
However the single best pokemon in this format would undoubtedly be Weezing and its line. It'd probably have to go to Ubers tier with these rules, because the 4 of them (2 Koffing and 2 Weezing) just say "no", maybe even AG.
