Any reaction channel watching a horror movie, has More comedy than when they're reacting to an actual comedy 😂
The real Andrea Perron actually visited the set of the movie with some of her sisters, and her mother a few times. She had written down a list of all the horrible things that happened to her family in the house and wanted to give it to the directors to put into the movie but apparently everything she wrote…..if they had put it all in the movie, it would’ve been way too scary. So while the movie is scary no doubt, it’s actually less scary than what truly happened.
Andrea Perron said in 2016 that the film is "about 95 per cent fiction and about five per cent hard truth"
Andrea has taken part in a documentary about what really happened in that house. The Perron's lived there for 10 years, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as the film alleges and the Warren's didn't turn up until year 3. Most of the movie is either exaggerated for scares or is completely made up.
Yeah, I wouldn’t mind knowing your source about that statement from Andrea. I have an interview with Ed & Lorraine Warren. If what Lorraine is true, I’d say it is less than 5% real.
You could just read Andreas book. House of darkness house of light then you would know how much is true.
They should of moved out as soon as the paranormal stuff began. Or stay at motels , hotels etc. The house was literally telling them saying hey im evil Leave the house. But they choosed too stay in the house and put there family through that

What makes this a *great* horror film is the fact that this was based off a true story. This actually happened in 1971. And the old lady in the front row of the lecture in the beginning? That was the real Lorraine Warren. I absolutely love these movies for their large authenticity and showing Ed and Lorraine for who they really are: caring heroes who face the most frightening adversities beyond our world. They really were as caring as portrayed in this film. I'm legitimately stunned this wasn't given a PG-13 considering it lacks truly inappropriate content.
A film doesn't have to be visually graphic to be too inappropriate for younger audiences. It's enough to cause psychological distress so it'd be self sabotage to make it pg-13 and piss so many people off

Fun Fact: The real Annabelle doll is actually a Raggedy Anne doll. I think they went with the doll they did because they figured that a Raggedy Anne doll wouldn't actually be scary. However, if you're a good enough horror writer/filmmaker, you can make anything scary.
Great reaction! I've been waiting for this one and you did not disappoint! I think you both gave 100% fair ratings and commentary at the end. Yes zay at the end Ed shouted her name "Bathsheba".
Andrea Perron one of the daughters wrote a book called "House of darkness, house of light" about what the family went through. She also later said when filming the movie they had to cut some things back, because the movie wouldn't get a rating if they didn't. You should definitely check out 2 and 3, also if you want to know more about Loraine and what she seen, check out the nun.
One final thing! You can actually book an overnight stay at the actual Conjuring house and investigate for yourselves. Maybe you should do this next spooky season 🤔 👀

I think how Bathsheba managed to get into the Warrens house was because the ghost took Lorraine's locket earlier in the basement scene, saw Judy's photo inside it, and used that info as a petty attack.
Check out 'Drag Me To Hell' for more wacky demonic invasion. It's Sam Raimi so if you've seen Evil Dead you know what to expect 😂 👍

I was foolish enough to use a Quija board at the real conjuring house. Thank goodness nothing happened. Can’t say the same for the Lizzie Borden house. Some freaky stuff went down there for sure.
the scene with the "woman creature" on top of the wardrobe cabinet in the girl's room scared the crap outta me. I saw this on theaters and that scene got the biggest scream from the audience that night. also, this was rated R. no nudity. no sex. no f-bombs. no real violence. the movie was just so frightening it needed that rating

You should react to documentaries on the actual haunting. OfCourse it was exaggerated. I love the NOT KNOWING, like the scene with the girl telling her sister something is behind her & WE CAN'T SEE IT. That's more terrifying than some CGI demon being shown. This is 1 of my top 5 horror movies. Loved your reactions!

You are absolutely correct Zay. The Warrens were indeed very real. Their career was long , and many films have based their premises on one or more of the Warren's case files.I would LOVE to go through a Halloween Hunted House with you Cameron. The experience would be quite a hoot watching you jump scare yourself into insanity. However I suggest you never enter one , for fear the paramedics may have to jump start you after the jump scares. I love you guys . Your reactions are so incredibly real and honest. Your approach to you tube is like a breath of fresh air, in what is becoming a very predictable and contrived You Tube world. The scariest part of these films, is the fact they are inspired by actual events. In real life Burning the house to the ground might not work, most believe it is actually the ground the house is built on that is haunted, it was the sight a battle during a war in like the 1600's or so.

The scene where Edand Lorraine are giving a lecture..the Camera starts to pan out.the old lady in the class is the real Lorraine Warren.
I actually met the Warren’s in the early 1980’s. I was immediately impressed by Lorraine’s kindness and warmth of spirit. Ed, on the other hand, came off like a bit of a loudmouth bully.

For those of us into Paranormal, we know Ed and Lorraine Warren. There was a demonic haunting in Pittston, Pa. Look up the Smurl family haunting. Ed and Lorraine investigated that one also.
Paranormal films, to me, are far more terrifying than the monster/slasher horror movies.

The locket necklace Elaines daughter gaver her was taken off in the basement by choking Elaine and it broke off. Thats how the demon was able to connect to their daughter and Annabel.
I believe her name was Lorraine not Elaine.

as per the Perron family, the haunting is more scarier than whats been depicted in the movie thats why its not been included in the film..
Andrea Perron’s trilogy, House of Darkness, House of Light, certainly gives an in depth view of the true sufferings of this family.

RE: Zay's family's "birthday clown"- doesn't EVERY family have some weird shit that the kids are afraid of? My dad has "the clown stick"- it's an old walking stick with a clown carved into the top, where you put your hand, and it says, "start every day with a smile". It's a nice sentiment, but the clown stick, as it's known, is fucking disturbing as hell. I'm a middle-aged married woman and I'm terrified of a goddamn stick in the house I grew up in. My dad still jokes about moving it around the house or putting it somewhere startling when I come over. I also feel like I should point out that my dad never hit anyone with it, it was just the threat of the clown stick because I'm terrified of clowns.
Honestly, I don't even have to watch the movies being played.... I can just focus on Cam's facial expressions & listen to Zay's narration of what's going on, and that's MORE THAN ENOUGH ENTERTAINMENT for me. 👀🙄😀😁😆😂😂
The 3 novels in The House of Darkness, House of Light trilogy really take you on an in depth journey into what the Perron family actually suffered through. They were written by Andrea Perron, the eldest daughter.

This movie is so iconic! 1 and 2 both are one of the best modern day horror movies. Annabelle sucked, but Annabelle creation was phenomenal. The Nun is decent but I heard 2 was even greater

You need to see the next film, The Enfield Haunting, it's based on real events in a house in Enfield, London, England which was subject to much media coverage. I saw the film in a classic old cinema and the atmospher of the theatre made it all the creepier plus there was so few of us in there watching.

I live pretty close to the harrisville farmhouse, did a tour of it last year, finally. Nothing crazy happened.
Either you don’t believe in the paranormal at all, or…..the activity calmed down since. Some people have done investigations there in the recent years and the activity has died down.
I live about 30 minutes from the Harrisville farmhouse. I too did a walkthrough some years ago. I was stupid enough to try a Oujia board there. Absolutely nothing happened. I live 5 minutes away from the Lizzie Borden house. Tried the Ouija board there too. Lots of strange stuff happened there. I had to learn the hard way.

Happy 10th anniversary to the conjuring the first time I saw this movie was in 2013 and it scared the living crap out of me and yeah Bathsheba was a real person
I can't believe it's been 10 years already. I still remember not being able to escape the trailer for this anywhere! Hulu (before I went ad free) played the trailer every single break regardless of the time of day. I had to take a break from it until the movie released. 🤣🤣

James Wan definitely was inspired by The Exorcist and Friedkin's directorial style of that classic movie, as were many others. It's a good modern ghost story. I'd definitely recommend you reacting to the classic spooky movie The Changeling (1980) which has also been very influential but is not as well known, but is becoming more respected over the years.

I don't know if you guys ever react to mini series, and stuff like that, but the actress who play the middle daughter, Christine (Joey King), is in a really, really good mini-series called "The Act" (2019) that was based on true events. It also stars Patricia Arquette.
